This shiny clip actually made me way too angry. "Looks the same" it turns from SILVER to GOLD, how is that the same color?? "I thought my ds was bugging out" literal children make that mistake, you can't see the sparkle animation?! Every time I see someone fail a shiny it just hurts me

To be fair it does look pretty much the same and it went from a nice silver to piss yellow. Shinies are trash while convergent, regional, shadow, and paradox are far better. Shinies are just a lazy design by game freak. Like they could have put more effort into it lets be real.

Also, it's just a rare palette swap with a sparkle effect, it's not supposed to be some crazy special form, it's just a fun collectors item essentially. You can hardly compare it against meticulously designed alternate forms and evolutions. A lot of them pre-gen 6 were chosen by an algorithm anyway

Hell I would even be fine if they just made shinies have custom idle animations like how pokemon infinite fusion has for some pokemon cause that's more interesting. I mean if I spend hours looking for a piss yellow pokemon I'd be pretty annoyed. Just sounds like y'all would be gem collectors or something no offense.

I never once regretted hunting my shiny greninja, I think just the black ninja color is enough for me. If spending hours hunting just a palette swap isn't worth it for you then I understand, but I just like having something special with a wacky new color
