My 2 black cats, Trinity and her son Rascal (both RIP now), were different about it. She'd curl up in the carrier on the car ride there and be silent...he'd try to look around and see what's what -- same for once inside the exam room, he was climbing/inspecting everywhere, while she just wanted to remain inside the carrier, hehe. Luckily they weren't too bad, overall, especially for her being a feral/rescue (after a couple of years she became a belly/chest cuddle buddy extraordinaire 😊).

07:29 if someone really took this small kitten to the vet for "behavioral issues" they don't deserve a kitten. I hope it was a joke. It makes me think of families who get pets as a toy for their kids & it's abused & usually dumped off somewhere!

For starters, most cats do not like any change in their environment, which includes getting stuffed into a carrier and taken away from the safety of their normal surroundings..their home. They seem to sense something is just wrong about the situation when they get put in their carrier and tense up and become scared especially upon arriving at the veterinarians..the place is strange to the cat, doesn't smell familiar, like their home, and there is some strange hooman poking and prodding them all over examining the cat.. I can only compare the cat's experience of going to a vet about as similar to us having to go to a dentist or new doctor..only the cat doesn't understand like we do..😊😊😾😾
