I'm SO GLAD they're back to single table seating arrangements. Weirdly it really does make a difference in how they interact.

@liv97497 yeah I definitely noticed that. I don't think the audience were as good either. I think for some time, when the desks were separated the audience may have had to wear masks. But it's all back to normal now so, all good!
@WILTY_TV6 ай бұрын
Indeed, the audience were wearing masks back then, and there were screens separating guests, as well as being socially distanced. The only change in this series is the more environmentally friendly set!

I remember Stephen Fry talking about the first story - the waking up by whacking your head on the pillow thing - on QI, he said they used to do it at boarding school if they were doing a “dawn raid on the kitchens” or something, I just remember everyone properly taking the piss out of him for it 😄

Currants come from dried Black Corinth grapes, or even the Zante grape giving the Zante currant. Raisins come from white Moscatel grapes. And raisins unlike currants can soak up other flavours so are often added to something alcohol. Sultanas are white seedless grapes, and to be clear. The name of the grape that sultanas are made from are sultana grapes. So before they're dry theyre a sultana grape, after theyre dried theyre just a sultana.

Why the hell is this program so short and why isn't it every week for six months instead of six weeks over two months? Need more. It's not an expensive show to make longer... And it has to be a top rating show surely?

There was a song in the mid-1960s called "Groovin'," and it was a few years that I heard the lyrics, "you and me, endlessly groovin'," as, "you and me _and Lesley."_ I mentioned it recently, talking about how it took me 5 years or something to figure it out; and my older sister looked at me kind of funny and said, "endlessly?" So, maybe it _would_ take a long time to question where a raisin came from.... You never know....

I remember a character in the Beano c.1970 using the head-banging-on-the-pillow method to set a time to wake up, so the idea's been around a long time.

Yeah, David's a smart guy, so his adamant refusal to believe in hypnotism is really weird. Doesn't help that Jo doesn't seem to understand it either, considering her really inaccurate explanation.

I'm sorry David, but hypnotism is absolutely real. Like, that's not even up for debate. It's demonstrably true by the millions of people who've been hypnotised. But it doesn't work like magic mind control. Nor does it work like Jo described, which is why I knew she was lying. The card sounded like the guy planted a suggestion that it'd be a good idea to make him breakfast in bed, which is totally believable. It is not believable she was in a zombie-like state and didn't remember doing it, especially as that doesn't really agree with what's on the card.

Why does Rob Brydon ridicule David's speech all the time? I know it is a comedy but he never lets up. The show is very funny and Lee and David are hilarious but Rob just looks and sounds like a bully.
