As someone who has struggled with a stutter problem I tear up when he exclaims, "I have a voice!" I've seen the entire film 4 times. I've revisited parts of it many many times. An incredibly well written and marvelously acted film. Brilliant actors all.

The Kings Speech is very important to me. I was a stutterer most of my life. Those words "I have a voice" was and still is the most inner voice for human life. If you understand war or dehumanization , WW2, slavery as power in those terms, the striping away of that voice is the absence of total humam identity. Fear is the taught sin active in another's power. I do have voice after the voice of relational love as deep Truth was and IS is spoken to you. For me, the voice of trust in communion is that voice spoken to me and you finally said and meant.
