Ray was very sweet to help Rabbi William up there to the buzzer. I knew a guy just like him here in SW Florida years ago. He gave me a Cracker Barrel gift card for my birthday.

Where by this point many stations moved Feud to overnights, WHTM kept it at 7:30PM until Richard Dawson came back, where it moved to WLYH 15 at 10AM.

On WWOR 9 in NJ/NYC I remember the syndicated version came on I believe around 3 pm, and I think with Richard Dawson I believe 4 pm, but it came on opposite The New Price Is Right with Doug Davidson.

I think "Priests vs. Rabbis" is good proof that six years in, "Feud" was trying any kind of gimmick it could think of for ratings. And to add insult to injury, Gene Wood's intro indicates this was the *second* such week, the first having been done three months earlier.

Family Feud in syndication was off the chain!! I used to watch this on WWOR-TV in Jersey. They were pulling out the stops to keep this show on. CBS definitely wouldn’t have allowed this. Lol They should have did the Jews verse the Muslims. 🤣🤣

This is not long before Ray got canned from Feud and replaced with Richard Dawson, who returned to the show for the 1994-95 season, the last season of this incarnation of Feud. Father Greg was on Tic Tac DOugh in 1983 and won several games(billed as Father Greg on that show)
