Rexanius it’s self defense. As long as you have witnesses it’s good. Someone who spits on you and you punch them likely wouldn’t try to press charges anyway because you could press charges also. I actually had an incident at work when guys were striking. I wasn’t Union and the guy who spit on me was. He called me a scab, which I wasn’t since I worked there as a manager and wasn’t part of the Union. He spit on me thru a fence so I couldn’t do anything about it. I filed a civil case for assault because I couldn’t kick his ass there and then. I wasn’t going to let him get away with it tho. I came to court with video of the incident and the judge ruled in my favor. I dropped the case on the condition he apologized to me for spitting on me and calling me a scab and he would stop calling me a scab at work. It wasn’t about money or revenge. It was about my self respect and him learning he couldn’t do whatever he wanted.

We just had to deal with something like that. We were in our local Home depot, and one of the employees told my family that we had to stand 6 feet away from each other due to COVID-19. That just plain wasn't going to happen. I guess it's easier to say that she backed down when all of us started yelling at her at the same time. And we have a large family. Finally she walked off. Later we called the manager and they said that her actions were completely unacceptable, and that they were going to talk to the her about that.
