I was thinking the same thing. My grandmother had dementia and acted weird like that sometimes. She didn’t write tag numbers down, but she would steal the neighbors potted plants, and flowers thinking they were hers and accuse the neighbors of stealing her flowers, she would also get naked like a toddler and run around the neighborhood talking and acting crazy sometimes like a child. Finally had to put her in a home bc we couldn’t keep up with the dementia, meds didn’t slow it down enough; it just got so bad I’d have to leave School (I Was in high school) to take her home and dress her (she lived on her own, wouldn’t leave her home we tried she went even more crazy) or my mom would have to leave work constantly we couldn’t keep doing that or she’d lose her job or I’d fail. Ppl don’t realize how bad it actually gets.

I'm thankful my neighbor and I are on good terms now. My neighbor is an old lady that used to complain every time I would try to record music; guitar, bass, drums. Didn't matter. She'd complain. One day she needed help moving a couch and figuring out her television and she's never complained about noise again, I was even able to completely rip apart a room, tear down drywall and hammer in some new tack strips and carpeting without even a murmer of a complaint.

CallMeCraig - lucky, my neighbor and I never got along. She had to be a victim, she loved that attention. The funny thing was the rest of us in the building never felt sorry for her. Her friends though just couldn’t stop telling us how awful people we were. Going to and from our cars someone would be leaving and just had to say something. I moved before she did so I have no idea if she ever calmed down.

I been living on my street for 16 years never had a altercation with a neighbor until ever since covid they flipped a switch and set like tyrants. My sister is in the psych ward right now because they harassed her when their dog off leash ran on my property to try and attack my sisters dog who was on a leash and my sister asked them to get their dog while holding her dog up and they were laughing.
