It is the owners responsiabilty to keep objects up and away from a dog. Just like a home should be child safe. A dog does what comes naturally, and it is mean to punish a dog for its' owners stupidity. I don't watch people being cruel or mean to dogs, or any animal, it is not cute or funny. The dogs give unconditional love to their people, and don't understand why all of a sudden, this person that they love is talking (growling) at them with such a mean and angry voice. They are confused and that is why they are cowed and afraid and what people call "cute and funny". Save your "don't be so serious and lighten up" comments. They only show how insensetive you are.

dogs do not feel guilt. when you come home every day you are usually cheerful and playful and pick your dog up Etc but when you come home and find your slippers chewed up you have completely changed your your demeanor and changed the person that your dog expects. he is fearful and Confused. dogs have a relatively short term memory and if you don't reprimand them within a certain time frame they have no idea what the hell you're talking about. they are simply confused by your change of tone they don't understand what is happening
