@@asshole0465027451 most of his other songs are very technical with the guitar. this song was more of his radio song, not a song that was necessarily his most technical, because unfortunately that isn't what sells the most.

John's got songs that pay the bills and songs that show off his talent. I always thought this song was inbetween. Truly poetic lyrics.

He's so cute. I really love this version. I'm confused about this song's origin now though. In another intro he said it was about the first girlfriend he had at 14. In this intro he says it's about the girlfriend he had at 21🤔
@leojacobson16625 жыл бұрын
I think he was talking about the song and him parting ways, not a girlfriend. I wasn't properly listening so I might be wrong

Dear marie vs your body is a wonderland
@lesliebean45945 жыл бұрын
Leo Jacobson I see, that could be. Wikipedia stated he said in an interview that it was written about his girlfriend at 14, and he stated that during a concert too. But, it's also been speculated he wrote it about Jennifer Love Hewitt, so when he mentioned "21" I was back to confused lol
@lesliebean45945 жыл бұрын
Aldo Melaragno Dear Marie was written for the same person, or?
@lesliebean45945 жыл бұрын
Leo Jacobson Listening back, he was very specific that he was 21 in an apartment in Atlanta Georgia when he wrote it. Interesting.
