From my understanding.. the players can't hear the commentators, but the audience can because of ear pieces, but that can STILL be distracting. For example around 10:34, the audience laughed, making the player unaware of why, or perhaps knowing they were laughing at him.

Its a foul and a miss, because he didnt take the shot in a given time limit. Therefore his opponent gets to choose who’s gonna play next - his opponent chose for him to continue
