This is still early in the Empire's existence, so I imagine it's this kind of stuff that eventually made the Empire have the ISB constantly monitor every Stormtrooper's helmet camera to make sure there was no "unnecessary chatter" between troopers.

Not really. You still even hear and see Stormtroopers chatting around in the comics late into the Galactic Civil War even up until Endor. You must think ISB be an all-seeing God to monitor every single Stormtrooper's conversation, eventhough it genuinely doesn't help anything since Stormtroopers are already hardened troops but whatever you say.

I know lore reasons why that is but these soldiers have been fed so much propaganda that the fact they don't even realize how serious it is that the empire isn't giving them enough reasons to properly fight and protect themselves. they treat it like its a joke

This is still fairly early in the Empires life so the Stormtroopers still have the freedom to talk. Later on the ISB are gonna start monitoring the troopers through their helmets so they don't do things like conspire against the Empire or have conversations with their fellow troopers.
