The open wide mouth is like a silent "Ha?" Ha can also means "What?" So instead of saying it, we use our facial expressions instead

Well, we dont really hate getting wet. It's just that we kinda have this idea that we might get sick, like fever or something, if we get wet from the rain unless we really intend to ''ligo sa ulan'' or shower in the rain lol dont know how to say it in English... so that's mainly the reason.

Kilig is actually accepted now in the English language last I've heard.

LOL...We do not hate to get wet by the rain. PEOPLE do not want get wet because of a lot of reasons: You can get sick, colds, probably going to a date, etc. But let me tell you this. Never have I ever seen an American playing in the rain even a small kid or a teenager. I've been living here in the States for nearly 9 years now. I would play in the rain when was young til I left for the US 9 years ago. I'm pretty sure you, as a missionary, have seen people playing and dancing in the rain just because having a shower in the bathroom is just too tiring sometimes. lol
