9 years after the wk-7600 and wk-6600 were introduced, they are still current models in the Casio keyboard line-up, and still priced at $449.99/$299.99 despite inflation. The sound engine is 2 generations behind the "state of the art", but it still sounds good. I bought a WK-6600 for my daughter 5 years ago, and she still enjoys it. (It pains me when she refers to it as her "piano" because I am a synthesizer enthusiast, and I know this keyboard can do a lot more.). Even though this model is 9 years old, I don't know where you will find a 76-key keyboard that looks better, sounds better, and does more at this price-point. Its acoustic piano is not as detailed as newer pianos, but it is better than the console digital acoustic that I have in my living room, and since it has MIDI and audio in, you can always connect it to an external source via midi and run the sound back through the WK-6600's speakers if you want.

I am still looking for a good acoustic sounding digital piano. This year I went all out and bought a RD-2000 by Roland, while this is a step forward from my 10 year old Yamaha P95, it is not a giant step. Difficult to find any 76 note keyboard on an arranger. @@TonyMictian I know the WK-7600 and WK-6600 do NOT have portamento because that is the big reason I didn't buy them for myself. Since these keyboards came out though, Casio came out with the CTK-5000 and CTK-3000 and the CTS-1000 and CTS-500, and these instruments DO have portamento. The catch is these later instruments are all 61-key only. I bought a CT-S500, and really enjoy it. Not only does it have portamento, it has real time control of filter cutoff and frequency, plus it has envelope controls and a modulation knob as well as pitch bend. In other words, it has some control over all of the parameters that you control most often for "lead" synthesizer sounds. I especially like that it has bluetooth wireless midi - which makes it a great partner for the iPad. On my Ipad, I have the Galileo 2 organ app, which I would use if I needed a distorted tonewheel organ. You can even use the CT-S500 and CT-S1000 as a wireless keytar since they have battery power capability and bluetooth midi plus attachment points for a neck strap.

Hello Funnzie! Well, I just get this model of Casio WK 7600 three months ago. What I like is the sounds edit feature. It has a lot of sounds to work with. So far, even though now it is an old model, I found a lot of enjoyable sounds. The mixer it is awesome! When I edit some sounds, I can get better ones from the originals already saved in the default area. Like you did with the guitar sound. Thank you for your tutorial. Do you still have this keyboard? I wonder if you played the Casio Previa or another type of keyboards. Mean while, in this Casio keyboard, it is possible through the computer to bring another sound effects to get it better. In general, I think I really like this keyboard. I like the bars to play the organ sounds. The DSP it is great feature as tone module. It has a lot of interesting sounds to work with. I like the funcion of the mixer too. Even though it is possible to bring another external sounds using the MIDI function. I am using the keyboard to play karaoke and sounds incredibly good!. Also I connected an additional speaker and it sounds strong, nice and and neat. I like the Yamaha sounds better, however this keyboard I am be able to edit its sounds and rhythms to get better ones even the ones the Yamaha keyboard carry on. Hello Hector from Tijuana, welcome. Thank you for the kind comment. Yes, I still have the 7600, I use it for the powerful pattern sequencer (making my own rhythms). The pattern sequencer is one of the very rare 16 bar (measure) available. You can use external signal processors like reverb and delays but unfortunately only on the stereo mix since there isn't alternate audio outputs. The 7600's features will keep you busy for years exploring all you can do with this keyboard. Happy music making my friend.

Please check out the Casio CTX 3000 and CTX 5000 keyboards. Both are 61 keys, so if you need 76 keys you may have to stick to the WK.

Very Nice. I just purchased one for an "instant demo" when gig marketing in person. Lightweight, battery powered, great sound-It enables me to close a deal immediately with a song or two. When the person in charge of hiring musical entertainment waffles, I just go out to the car and bring in the keyboard. Presto, I'm hired in a minute or two.

Fairly simple. In addition to the keyboard I carry a keyboard stand, collapsible bench, and sustain pedal.Two trips. I could make it easily in one trip if I purchased a couple cases with handles. I don't need a microphone or music as I sing without amplification and have a few tunes committed to memory for these short 5 minute demos. Granted, the acoustic guitarist has a bit easier way to go. For my performances I have a completely orchestrated one man band act with an array of gear including a Hammond double keyboard, SK-2. I have thought many times just to forget about all the gear, take the easy way and just sing. But that would entail a group and I would sacrifice the independence. So I continue to lug gear. BTW it was your great videos on the Casio WK7600 that made up my mind. Thanks again. @@funnzie

Compared to the old days when a piano had to be present - and the future - where maybe we will get a piano/stand/pedal/bench all attached to the keyboard and folds up in one case and weights 25lbs...maybe???

I have thought many times about inventing that same thing. I play a Hammond dual keyboard, SK-2, 35 lbs. I made a folding stand which also supports a Boss RC-505-5 ch. loop station, Dell XPS 18" tablet (displays 2 full size sheets of music side by side) Yamaha 6ch mixer, mic boom, keyboard drawer w/mouse space. I have two complete sets-one in the studio and one in the back of my Prius (which also carries a QSC stereo PA+all associated gear) But Hammond also makes a single 73 key model which weighs in at 21 lbs. I think I could put the whole system into a compact unit under 40 lbs. @@funnzie

What you choose: - Ctx 5000 or WK 7600 or CTK 7200? People say Ctx 5000 is the best one, but the WK 7600 sounds very well.

I think the CTX 3000 is the best deal out there. The CTX 5000 just has a few more buttons on the panel for convenience, but the 3000 and 5000 have the same engine.

Thanks for a great video. I have a WK-7500 and comparing the XW-P1 to the Yamaha MX 49 or a MX 61 for live shows. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am leaning towards the MX 61 it looks easier to navigate onstage. Thanks

The MX series is being discontinued, so if you want one better buy now. I own a XW-P1, it is very similar to the WK-7600 I also own, so learning the keyboard will be faster. The XW-P1 has sounds of the same quality as the WK-7600, low quality to average rating by this user, comparing to my 30 years of keyboards and synths from Yamaha, Roland, Emu, Kurtzweil, Casio, SampleTank, Arturia. The Yamaha MX's have a slightly smaller keyboard, not mini keys but smaller than a piano. For stage use the Yamaha is the only choice for piano and other sounds, the Yamaha will give you top quality pro sounds you will NOT get with the Casio. The Yamaha MX use standard 5 pin MIDI so a 88 key controller could round out your rig. My guess is you would adapt to the slightly smaller keys, buy the 49 if you intend to also get a controller, buy the 61 key if it is the only keyboard you are going to use. The Yamaha MX's to program fully will need the software download from Yamaha (free) you will not be able to fully program the MX from the keyboard itself. The Casio XW-P1 is fully self contained, and fully programmable from the keyboard. The Casio can quickly layer 5 voices (tones) and control all the voices from the front panel controls for filter sweeping or fading in and out one or more of the 5 tones. Casio XW also has standard 5pin MIDI. Both synths can be pre-programed and saved for use on stage later. Hope this helps.

+Marcelo Shop I have been playing on keyboards since 1969, Roland, Yamaha, Emu, Kurtzweil, Fatar, Casio XW-P1....all with acceptable keyboard beds and quiet, the WK7600 is the only keyboard I have owned in 45 years with an unacceptable keybed, noisy light as heard when performing slides. The difference between the Yamaha Piaggero keybed and the Casio WK is night and day.

+Marcelo Shop Yes, I saw his video, and based on his video of the quiet keybed I purchased the WK7600. Imagine my disappointment to find it is still a cheap keybed. If Casio did change the keybed in mid production of 7600 then I don't know what the new keybeds are like. As stated before, I own a Casio XW-P1 synthesizer which has a very good professional keybed, I was expecting this keybed on my WK7600....didn't get it. The reason I bought the Piaggero was I tried a Casio keybed and said..no way.

Hey Funnzie, here I Am again hahahah...I found some old Video-review I mentioned earlier, to explain my Doubt little better...Basically, I would like to know if that Casio of yours can do this simple thing with DAW and its PC-produced sounds...When you spoke to me, and us, better said, about "sending and receiving MIDI-messages", I don't understand such a high-tech terminology, it doesn't say to me if I would be capable to play, example, Drum sounds of software-drummer in PC DAW by/with Casio keys- and that is huge little detail, for many people, because it would add thousands of Tones and Edit-capacities on top of Casio's 7600/7200 default number of 840 Instruments, recording 16 or 32 channels and all those editing Possibilities. It would be great if you can add that little demonstration, similar to what this Dude did with that Casio CDP200 in this video. +mita bekrija Computers make music making much more complex. So I decided many years ago to leave the computer out of it. I now record to a stand alone 24 track audio recorder (Zoom R24). I then take the raw tracks and import to the computer. So I don't use software plug in instruments and cannot make a demonstration of this. There are only two sources a keyboard (controller, control surface) can communicate with a computer. 1 MIDI and 2. audio. MIDI is what you are speaking of. Any keyboard capable of transmitting MIDI data can control your software plug in instruments. The Casio's do transmit MIDI data and can control your software instruments. Casio is a 16 channel so you can control 16 plug in instruments, one for each channel. You can play them all at the same time or each of the 16 one at a time over dubbing as you go. OR choose any number of channel receives and control 1 to 16 instruments at once.

I suggest studio quality for the flat frequency response and most accurate sound quality from this instrument. the speakers and headphones you choose can change the sound of the instrument immensely; plus, people have personal preferences to frequency ranges. Most people with untrained ears in audio engineering prefer bass heavy response headphones like the Sony MDR7506 ($100.00). But I prefer flat response (neutral) sound like the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm ($160.00). IF you can't afford these and want something in between in specifications ( a nice compromise) then the Mackie MC150 ($70.00). The headphone impedance for the Casio should be low at around 100ohm or lower. Noise cancelling..?..never tried them; there are closed back and open back so you can hear your environment (open) and more isolated (closed) choices. I live in an apartment and choose closed back to keep environment noise to a minimum.

@@funnzie As a former electrical engineering student and a definite present day audiophile, I'm naturally curious about the matter of impedance matching. So even as I awaited your response, I went about the internet researching matter. Your answer is pretty much consistent with my findings as well as the assumption that I made. A pair of affordable low impedance headphones is definitely needed to listen to keyboards and other low impedance sources. And some more costly and slightly higher impedance headphones are useful for studio monitoring. Thanks for your input

Impedance is resistance, and with inexpensive equipment usually comes low output levels. Most my keyboards all have low output levels, so low, almost microphone levels, and need amped up (preamp) at the mixer to attain levels for recording. The Casio is one of them. So the low resistance 80 to 100ohm headphones solve this problem. High output (pro level) output stages have levels 3 times or more in decibels than the Casio, and so to have more control over these pro levels engineers use higher impedance headphones. This way they are not using a fader level control in the first few centimeters of travel and also risking extreme ear and equipment damaging levels if accidentally at higher travel of the fader.

Can you save the custom sounds for easy access? Im looking at 2 others, Roldand JDXi and Yamaha MX49. The Casio has a better Sequencer which can hold more sounds playing at the same time compared to Rolands 4 tracks. Hard decision.

Yes, the Casio has100 custom sounds that can be saved, and 100 custom styles can be saved. Plus there is an SD card for unlimited saving. The Casio is a arranger workstation with very powerful sequencer where you can program your own styles of 8 tracks of instruments, then play a chord and all the pitched instruments change pitch to follow you on the keyboard. The Roland is a step sequencer, you would have to string sequences together to make a song, otherwise it just repeats sequences of about 4 bars. The MX49 is only a sound machine with very limited editing of tones, you can split or layer 2 tones from the keyboard, or use a software editor on a computer and layer up to about 8 before running out of polyphony. All three of your choices are completely different types of keyboards. Yes, it is called "simple editing" The Casio allows you to build your own rhythms by selecting other fills, intro's, main1/2 and endings from other preset styles and saving your own style with these parts of others. I have never done this because it is easier to create your own style from the beginning than look for others to swap in. I don't know if you can swap in the individual parts of a style though. To get the guitar part you seek, use the arppegiator with a guitar tone instrument and see if you can find the one you are looking for.

Hi I have a question ,the keybed on that model sound very noisey ,I believe the 6200 and 6500 red panel version the keyboard is a lot quieter, my question is are the sounds in the two models I mention the same quality as this keyboard ,but just without the drawbar organ feature?

It seems there was an upgrade in the keybed quality later in the production of the 7600, maybe a year. My keybed is noisy, but the 7600 keybed at my local music store is much better. No, the sound quality between the two 6500 and 7500 or the 6600 and the 7600 is not the same because Casio did not use the same sound engine. I have never done a comparison, but if the sound engine is different, I doubt the sounds sound the same.

The pre-sets are permanent, so the "A" through "E" rhythm choices are there to stay. It is the 100 user rhythms on "F" selection that makes this keyboard powerful. I have a 7 part Tutorial on this instrument (7 videos), Check out the style editing video for one of the four ways to edit styles. Also because of the SD card storage feature, you are not limited to 100 user styles, the card can store thousands ready to download to the keyboard at any time. I am not sure, but I think there are styles available for download from Casio as well, to be added to your user (F) storage.

I took delivery of a brand-new WK7600 only four days ago and it has zero "clunk" when the keys are hit. After my using an introductory-level Yamaha PSR E-443 for eighteen months, my music teacher suggested it was time to move to the next level of keyboard. I chose this due to its price, 76-keys as against 61, the range of sounds and rhythms and the ability to "tweak". The past four days have been a hugely enjoyable learning experience and I look forward to delving more and more into this keyboard. Your series of reviews helped enormously in my buying decision. +MARTIN J.A String sound was edited by lengthening the attack and release envelopes and adding reverb and just the right amount of chorus. Delay could also be used and adding another layer would add more dimension and depth.

+MARTIN J.A While the sounds are a little weak, this keyboard is loaded with a audio recorder, midi multitrack recording, styles you can make from scratch, sound editing and DSP, and inputs for my guitar and mic. Basically this keyboard is an entire recording studio for a keyboard player. So for the person who wants to do demos or place their music on KZbin all for $450.00 this is a steal, because no where else will you find these features for this price. NOW...you aren't going to be making professional recordings with the mic and instrument inputs, they are too noisy and I have not tested the audio recorder quality yet, need and SD card ( I won't have any money for a while). Yes I am poor and that is why I purchased this keyboard, otherwise I would have purchased the Yamaha PSR s770 for $1300.00 and MIDI cabled into my Yamaha P-95. For anyone not interested in creating their own sounds or styles then the Yamaha Piaggero NPV 80/60 has better sounds, and keyboard bed ( I own a Piaggero, but after 3 years I want to create my own styles and sounds, I am boarded with the 160 styles and 500 sounds. I am very happy with the drum sounds and styles, very high quality, so as an arranger yes I am happy. For professional recordings I will multitrack record with my ZoomR24 and use the sounds of the Piaggero for everything but the style parts which will come from the Casio.

Sorry, I made a mistake. I though I was answering a Korg video. Yes the keybed of the Casio is noisy, mine is. But later models are not. The 7600 at my local music store has a nicer keybed than mine. I have been projecting that Casio changed the keybed from the 7500 to the 7600 maybe after 6 months to a year of 7600 production. That is the only thing that explains why my 7600 has the same keybed as the 7500, and newer 7600 have a completely different keybed.

How would you tell early or late 7600 if you were purchasing this used online? A real benefit is that you mentioned this switch of the keybed upgrade during a production run on the same model number.

I am only guessing on the keybed switch in the mid year production of the 7600, but it seems to fit the "why". Serial numbers would be important, if you test a 7600 at your music store and you like the keybed, record the serial number so any number after that would be good. But I am advising everyone to test play the 7600 before purchase OR if you can call your online music store and get the serial number of the one you are interested in???? The best answer is to buy local and make sure the keybed is to your liking.

Very good demo's you've made Funnzie! They made me lookout for this keyboard on the second-hand market. I recently purchased a hardly used wk-7600 for €300 and I must say I like it quite a lot. I'm not really a keyboard player, I'm still feeling at home more on six strings. One of the drawbacks of this keyboard that I can't find any editing software for the tones and other settings it would make editing sounds much more straight forward. I also owe a wk-3300 (2006 made or so) and it's fully editable by using casio's old MusicData management software. There is not much with what you can do with Datamanager6 other than storing your custom made stuff and back-ups. So hopefully Casio will release editing software for it. Another sad thing is the fact that the sliders don't have midi output, it would be great to use them to control NI Vintage Organs or so. I'm not even mentioning the audio recording possibility it has, because for me it's useless.

+mokumkat Yes, the audio recorder when imputing outside sources such as guitar and vocal is a demo recording at best. IF you don't use the outside sources and record only keyboard sounds then the recording is good. The editing of instruments on the Casio WK and CTK are very simple because there is very little control. When going into the tone edit, you only have a few controls, 1 attack 2 release 3 filter 4 volume 5 effect sends 6 DSP 7 velocity switching and a few others.

As a solo Keyboard Player/Vocalist this keyboard lacks a very important feature for me and thats playing back mp3 backing tracks this would have made it great, so i'll continue using my Roland Juno Di as it has most of the features of this but without all the styles (which i had in the Roland GW-8 and only used occasionally for fun) and with a smaller 61 note range.

+George Georgio The Casio can play back backing tracks from the SD card. You have to convert the MP3 or WAV to a Casio proprietary format first on your computer through Casio's free conversion app. The limit of song length is 13 minutes...I think.

+George Georgio Don't know the Juno, the Casio WK can play and store 20 songs depending on card capacity. I don't see any playlist function. The screen displays the audio file number, you would have to use the keypad "yes/no" buttons to toggle through the 20 songs..or the date wheel. Then press the play button.

+Raktim Parashar The key noise is being picked up by the camera microphone. The key noise is loud however compared to other keyboards. The camera microphone is not an indicator of what the key noise sounds like, but there is key noise.

I don't know if will get worse, I have a Casio XW-P1 synth with great feel in the keys, why these don't have the same good feeling quiet key bed as the XWP1 I don't know. $450.00 is too much money to have such a cheap feeling keybed. Maybe the next upgrade model will have the synth bed.

My first keyboard in the 1960's was a Lowrey organ, so I understand four footed control; upper/lower manual, keyboard pedals and volume control. The Hammond seems like a simple instrument where you have sliding tone controls and some performance control. Other than that why all the expense for an organ, I don't know, someone will have to explain why the SK-1 is worth more as an organ than the Casio CTK. I also have the Casio XW-P1, it has more control over the Hammond organ simulation, you may wish to test this keyboard for one quarter the price of the SK-1.

The drawbars have dual function of controlling the organ and the mixer of the 7600. The 9 sliders can control the 16 channels of the mixer with the 9th slider a master. 1 - 8 sliders control channels 1-8 and then toggling with the button to the left channels 9-16. Channels 1-4 of the mixer control keyboard performing volumes; channels 9-16 control style volumes.

You should looking at the all new Casio high grade line called the CTX. I am assuming it is the replacement for the CTK line and WK line. It will probably be about the same price as the 7600 and 7200. The new CTX is offering much improved sounds...the greatest weakness of the 7600.....based on KZbin audio I have heard, but have not played one live.

For Yamaha's lower PSR series such as the EW-410, for about $400.00, it has very limited editing capabilities. So if you wish to make your own sounds, your own styles, I think the Yamaha is not as creative a keyboard. And up until the Casio CTX series, the Yamaha had better sound, but now with CTX, I don't know if it superior in sound anymore. All I can do is guess at this point, I have not listened on a good recording to either the Casio CTX or the new Yamaha PSR-410.

I have a WK 7500 and use a D.I box with it into my Peavy KB/A15 converted to a PA into my Korg D3200 multitrack recorder and its more enhanced that my WK7600 stock. Use a DI box to record and no hissing sound.

The outputs of the WK7600 sound good without a D.I. Make sure to use a stereo PA to take advantage of the stereo outputs of the 7600 for the best sound. I gave this keyboard to a friend and she connected to her Roland stereo keyboard amp and the 7600 sounded great! In my video's I explained the internal audio recorder did not sound very good, but it is okay for the price we paid.

+Munia Pakhi Thank you. There is a big cost difference between the two keyboards 443 and 7600. If you have enough money for the WK7600 then consider it OR the Yamaha NPv60 for $330.00, over a hundred less than the Casio. As a beginner keyboard player you will want at least the 76 keys, if this is all you can afford. If you can afford the 88 key fully key weighted piano, then the 88 weighted keys will train you in acoustic piano action and strengthen your hands and forearms for playing a real acoustic piano some day. these 88 key are about $600 and have very few sounds, they are focused on being a digital piano. Once you have read my answer let me know if you understand and we'll try and narrow down the choices and cost.

+Munia Pakhi Hello Munia. The Casio will have the most features and control of all the keyboards you listed. The Casio WK7600 has an audio recorder the others don't. If you want to record all the keyboard sounds and add a real guitar and a your vocal to the recording the Casio can do this, none of the other keyboards can do this. This is an audio recording that can be converted to a standard WAV file, if you own a computer. For power there is nothing listed to compare to the Casio, but to use all this power requires a commitment of time to learn all the technical aspects of the Casio. Also to grow with your keyboard you need as many keys as possible, so 76 keys are much better than 61. The Casio in my country comes with a power supply, (you don't want the expense of using batteries) the Yamaha's do not come with a power supply. You will have almost limitless creative power with the Casio WK7600 if you invest the time to learn how to use it. On the surface the Casio is easy to use, though, it is the editing the styles and understanding the mixer functions that will take some time to learn. Out of the choices you presented me with the Casio WK7600 is by far the best of them all. IF you own some good headphones, listen to the keyboards through the headphones with the speakers off, you will then hear the true quality of the voices. As stated in my review the Yamaha NPv60 is a much more solid professional "feeling" keyboard, but does not have any of the editing or audio recording of the casio, so I am bored with my Yamaha Piaggero NPv80 because I can't edit the sounds or styles. I hope I have helped you Munia, welcome to music and the joy of creation.

NOTE: Recording studio monitors like the above suggested Behringer's, are designed for the dynamics of live instrument music, which means the extended peaks of power an instrument makes as apposed to playing back recorded music (CD DVD MP3). Home stereo speakers may be damaged when attempting to use them as instrument monitors.

Yes, I would guess they are exactly the same. The Casio CTK-7200, WK-7500 and WK-7600 are not known for their high quality sound. You may wish to check out the newer Casio CTX3000 and 5000. I have not heard these keyboards in person, listening to demos on KZbin they do sound better. You would buy the WK7600 only if you have to have the 76 key longer keyboard and the drawbar organ. Otherwise buy the CTX3000. Buy the CTX5000 only if you need a microphone input and want the convenience of a few added quick access buttons, a more powerful amp for the speakers, 50 more storage slots. NOTE: The Casio WK7500 was known for a very loud and clacky keybed which Casio replaced in the 7600, but only later models of the 7600. My 7600 came with that clacky keybed of the 7500, so make sure if you are buying a used 7600 that your demo the keyboard in person.

The key clicking and clacking is coming from the keybed. The keybed is not quiet like a synth keybed normally is. You will have to put up with some mechanical key noise. I don't mind it because I always play through headphones because the sound of built in speaker is annoying to me. Any built in speaker on these and other plastic keyboards will never sound as good as headphones or a stereo pair of near field monitors.

The speakers are there for convenience, but no speaker in a portable keyboard sound good, none. If you want good sound you will need headphones of quality or decent near field monitor speakers. For playing in a band amp/speaker combo. For recording though, stereo is necessary, so both outputs of the Casio, left and right, need to be recorded in stereo. Stereo is how I recorded the Casio for this audition of sounds. The recording connection is called "direct inject" where I take two .25inch TS cables and connect directly to a recorder. For this video I used a $500.00 ZoomR24 recorder, a 24 track audio recorder at CD quality sound 16 bit 44.1 kh.

The 7500 had the keybed problem, and I got the 7500 keybed on my 7600. It seems there was a change later to the 7600 and the keybed was dramatically improved. So don't buy a used 7600 unless you can test it. And if you buy a new one you should get the good keybed, but I would make sure and ask the online dealer if it has the good bed. Otherwise best to play these Casio's in person to be sure you are getting the later added good keybed before buying.

+WackkaCOInc The sounds of the 7200/7600 have more multisamples and played through a processor that can playback 3 samples. Though the other samples may be 2 sample tones played back through the tri-element engine. All I know is the sound quality is close to a toy when compared to the sound quality of a Yamaha Piaggero, Korg Micro-arranger, Yamaha MX-49....all about the same cost. When the keyboard sounds are weak and the lack of the 5 pin MIDI jack, you are stuck with the sounds that come with it.

+funnzie Actually the WK-200/Wk-7600 do support MIDI. You need a host usb cable (like the one used for a printer) to hook it up to a computer. From there you can use a DAW program to play VSTs. With that said though when it comes to piano sounds, I think keyboards are still the way to go, since even some premium vst pianos don't sound as expressive or dynamic as a mid to high end keyboard.

+funnzie Much better, it doesn't have the "flangered digital" sound of the original one. In my humble opinion it sounds a little stuffy, I mean without brightness, BUT, yours is way better than the original that oscillates a lot and have that (as I wrote before) "flangered digital" oscilation. Personal info: I sold my old synth (Yamaha MO6) some years ago, and now I'll buy another keyboard to re-start my learning, I was researching and was thinkin about CTK 7600 or CTK 6250, due to the cost. Since here in Brazil the month salary is about R$ 880.00 (about $244) and these two models I'm inclined to buy cost between R$ 1,150.00 (CTK 6250) to R$ 1,980.00 (CTK 7600). Of course I don't earn just one salary per month but it is something I don't want to spent so much money right now.

+Bruno de Oliveira If you already owned a Yamaha, you will not be happy with the Casio. Yamaha keyboards have the best sounds in the industry. For the same cost as the Casio WK7600 you could buy a Yamaha MX49. Then save your money for an 88 key controller some day. I am very poor, and never pay full price for anything, the Casio WK7600 in the videos was purchased as a "scratch and dent" or what would be cosmetically defective. I paid 40% less than regular price.

Yes, by bypassing the built-in audio recorder you can control your mix to a more professional degree. The drum sounds of the Casio are first class so building up complex rhythms with bass and additional parts can make a pro recording sound. If you are including vocals your challenge for good vocal tracks will be a big one. If you are composing instrumental songs, I would add a Yamaha MX49 keyboard to your studio for some great instrument sounds. With this studio set up and some engineering skills you could make your own CD or MP3 for commercial marketing.

I would like to understand this setup better. The 7200/7600 has a multi-track recorder but the audio quality is not up to par with a standalone quality unit. In addition to a standalone multi-track recorder you would add a Yamaha MX to the mix for quality voices for string orchestra arrangements. If my assessment is correct, then the onboard multi-track is good for note taking and not for a finished product. From your comment of adding a Yamaha MX/49, I just purchased the MX/61, that is how influential you have been, however I am on the fence on purchasing a Casio for a few reasons: 1) Casio has just introduced the CT-X700 at NAMM 2018 kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZmTZqeqfKajoMk&ab_channel=sonicstate at a price point of $150.00. I am wanting either the big brother to the CT-X 700 or the big brother of the PX-560 with weighted hammered keys. Include a multi-track quality recorder.

Very bad click with every keystroke. Not sure if it's your mic picking up or not. Could you please elaborate on this?

There is the 7500 keybed and the 7600 keybed...and there is an overlap in production of the two. I got the 7500 keybed on my 7600 keyboard...whaaaaaa! And the microphone is making the clicking louder than it is...and...I never use the speakers on this keyboard, I always use studio quality headphones, so no click is heard when wearing these. Moral of the story, don't buy a used WK7600 site unseen. New WK7600 should be fine.

That is the loudest keybed I have ever heard. it sounds worse than a toy.

It is loud, but not as loud as the recording makes it seem. Also, Casio, later in the 7600 series put in a better keybed. So never buy one these online, you will need to play it before you buy it.
