I am still smiling! What a great idea your fiancee had! To see all the happy faces, especially on the young girls was so uplifting. I think this is the start of something big! Wonderful. As for the sashing, your decisions are right on.

I love the comment, chief quilting advisor, “my mom”. I also loved seeing all those beautiful smiley faces of the children. What a wonderful idea to combine the events and give the children there a chance to sew.

This was such a fun video to watch...I loved seeing all the kids that made blocks. You may have just started someone on their quilting journey. I loved the blue for the sashing...also the white and tan. The light grey was not bad, but just thought the other perked it up and made the blocks shine. If you don't have enough of the blue, could use it as cornerstones.
