Honestly, Fur Hire is such a good going second deck. It sucks that you can say that with almost every deck in the game with enough kaijus and evenly matched in hand. Fur Hire will always die to negate your normal summon, and I don't think Konami will change that until a few more sets. On another note, if Konami wants to add more spells to the Fur Hire line up, they can make a bunch of cards called "Fur Sale" which would be like a shop that the Fur Hires buy from. I have no idea why this deck would need equip spells, but "Fur Sale" just sounds incredibly funny to me.

I feel like there are some kinks in the deck part, why is rookie fur hire at 2? The deck would lose to one imperm or Veiler but rookie dodges that. Why is RAF at 2? You can pull one off of the link 3 if u need to, it just adds to the bricks. People say that fur hire still loses to the same thing they always have, a single piece of disruption. But Dona is ENTIRELY generic. Every extender you can think of goes into Dona which gets more fur hires into rotation (still loses to two interruption though). Magicians souls into dumping wiz into a spellcaster for Dona or a linkuriboh for the double summon. Parallel exceed into rookie, gets beat, linguriboh for Dona tribute, or just bagooska. Relying on one for one, two copies of rookie, and byssted to extend clearly falls to one interaction.

I really wish Konami would just nut up and give them a Link 1 with the Special summon effect. Edit: My Brothers/Sisters in Christ, just because a deck gets a Link 1 does not mean it will be like Meow-Meow-Mu. The issue with Mx3 was it allowed every monster in your deck to be a one card full combo (plus a double Raigeki/HFD). A link-1 in Fur Hire could not do that unless it had some double etele effect or something, simply because of how the deck works. Mx3 was powerful simply due to how the deck worked. A Link 1 with the summon effect in Fur Hire would only make the deck a bit less fragile. Many other Decks have Link-1s and nothing happened or the Link 1 was just a part of what was already a problem.

A Link 1 would turn them from a fun meme Fur Hire to fun meme that doesn't instantly die from literally any hand trap on the normal summon Fur Hire.

This deck is my absolute favorite (not a furry tho) so I'm really happy to learn it is getting more support! I am a super casual "player" (aka I watch a lot more content than I actually play) so I find simple monster spamming decks like this really fun. I've actually started collecting the physical cards to be my first real deck!

This deck was pretty much the first deck I played because Duel Links was my introduction to the game and they were incredibly strong at that time. If you like this deck, you might like Tri-Brigade too. They're sort of similar and Tri is much better as a deck than Fur Hire, and super easy to learn. They're actually the deck I used to teach my friend who has never played a card game in his life.

Ever since i started playing yugioh fur hires have been my go to. i started with master duel and got drawn to them... well... because i'm a furry. that aside, i've stuck to them because the archetype always felt like you had to actually play the game. there's no unfair one card combo, there's no optimal route, and there's no correct way to build the deck. it's always felt like a deck that relies on good match up knowledge and requiring the player to have good situational awareness, instead of for example something like swordsoul plaguing master duel where all they ever do is spend 30 seconds to do a brain dead combo that consistently ends on baronne and chixiao for a cheap and easy victory

Ah, Fur Hire. Reminds me of when I went to locals regularly during TOSS format and I was looking everywhere for the core, which was hard because Beat was short-printed. I eventually traded an Ulti-rare Trickstar Lycoris and $60 for the core. I always played the deck when I didn't want to be serious with Lost World Dinos or Budget Salamangreat that week. I always had fun with them. Swarming a bunch of monsters and getting effects off each time you did so felt great, as did the advantage gotten by Folgo and Rafale. But generally your board ended on one spell/trap negate and one monster negate that required monsters to discard in hand and didn't destroy, AND (as you said in the video) a single Veiler or Imperm on your normal summon ended your turn. Nice to see that hasn't changed much, even with the new support (though it plays through better than I've ever seen). It also used to be impossible to recover if your board was cleared and you had nothing in hand - I'm actually quite pleased to see that Rex actually helps fix this somewhat. I'm pleased with some of the new support, and I like how it was playing here, but sadly I don't think it will ever be meta. Maybe if they finally released a Link 1 that gave an extra normal summon it would have a tiny chance of getting to like, Tier 5. Funny thing at 9:44 - there were quite a few Sky Striker players at locals, all of them regularly tried to Widow Anchor my Folgo to link it off, and I let them because I was just as guilty of not reading my cards as they were. Also, correction on Dyna - he's been unlimited in Duel Links since July 2021. I was honestly surprised when I double-checked.

Honesty, Fur Hire is a fun deck to play, but I wouldn't really play it competitively since it dies to any interruptions. I just wish it had more extra deck tools since I don't really enjoy playing all the generic links in the deck. I'd prefer in theme links since it's more casual

while it does die to any sort of targeted interruption, it's going to be less common in this meta than other metas. I think this is where it'll shine the most, with the ability to banish names and the quick and simple negate before Nib. It's widespread that the meta goes for a lot more board breakers, which is a lot better for this deck, as it should be able to beat out any rouge / worse deck with its ability to get its Own handtraps. Though, losing to a veiler is really funny.

The two new monsters are perfect for the theme. The Link is another great payoff like Folgo, while the Dinosaur is a Quick Effect Mezuki in a deck that normally vomits its hand. To get some GY play from these cards is nice. Also, being able to search the 2 useful Spells that you can't afford to brick multiple copies is nice. Shame the Field Spell isn't searchable.. hate when they do that..

Tbh the field spell is so not worth it... Training is probably better because it kind of cycles you into a lower level Fur Hires and gives you a free name. Meanwhile the field spell does nothing on activation, requires you to give up your normal draw phase, and is also a very conditionally difficult raigeki which also makes you unable to OTK the turn that effect is activated. It's actually really really bad...

If a card has its effects negated, it typically doesn't get rid of restrictions on the card because they're not considered to be an effect to begin with. So, "This card cannot be used as a Link material" isn't negated because it's not an effect of the card. It's simply a restriction. Cards that say "This card cannot be used as a Synchro Material" are when restrictions like this started to become common place. Fun fact though: Vayu, a Blackwing monster, CAN be used as a material if his effect is negated because the restriction is included into an effect on the card.

This is one of those parts where YGO just doesnt make much sense. The short version is, that part is not an effect. Its a condition. And conditions do not get negated. Another example of this is that if you negate the effect of branded fusion, despite the card failing to resolve its effect, the enemy is still locked into fusions because the card says "the turn you activate this card".

i love fur hire, started building them but then realized that essentialy one negate for normal summon completely stops you
