Made this the other day using all purpose flour. The dough was stickier than in the video so I had to add more flour. During the cooking time because my stove's heat is too big so the outer part was burnt 😅 because of this the bread was a little tough, had to remove the skin to eat it. It doesn't have a particular taste, so it made a great companion to savoury dishes i.e. I ate it with curry 😄

Tried this bun with whole wheat flour. Changed only the qty of milk : 90g and water : 52g. All ingredients same qty. Came out the same way, excellent 👌. PS: my dough stuck to the butter paper in my first attempt. Today, I lightly buttered the paper. No issues.

Possibly the Beothuk peoples who first migrated from Labrador to present-day Newfoundland. I grew up with fried bread dough and I love them. I usually add a small bit of butter to the cooking oil for a butter flavor, then I smother it in more butter after they are cooked.

U can also use salt at the bottom and heat it for some time then use a tripod stand on it to keep the plate with buns. Cover it and bake in medium heat for abt 15 mins. Might give the same result as long as u used the right ingredients.
