We certainly understand some of your dilemma's. Really appreciate your attention to these cats as individuals. Amazing how people give advice. Mainly from good intention. But some people should reserve comment. We're in your industry. Cats came to us and we have had to step in with their many fates. We have a colony with no support around us. People give advice but they don't walk the walk. People should see what the trenches are really like. You have been working yourselves to the bone. Nothing breaks my heart more than seeing one of my babies lost. It hurts every single time no matter how many times you go through it. Giving them the absolute best life they could have had is the only consolation. I am sorry for your loss. It sounds cheesy but it's true in our memories they still live and in that we honor them by honoring that memory.

I had a cat this happened to a few years ago. He was FIV positive, but he was very healthy. I came on him immediately and his lungs filled up like Rip. It was very sad, but I gave him a great life. He had been a stray, somewhat feral till I kept petting him...he fit it so well for quite a few years. His name was Buddy. Miss him!

I did recycling when I lived in the cities, it gets so messy from the syrup in the cans and many times it is hard to get to the recycling place. I ended up giving my cans to someone and he used them to pay for his meds.
