Hi,,I am in Asheville ,,,you are right it is a disaster,,,this is tue we finally got some emergency food & water started 2 days ago,,our phones are mostly back up various hot spots popping up all around our power is very slowly coming back but they are working around the clock to hopefully have power back to most people,,,our water service may take a month or longer to start getting back trash pickup won't be happening till who knows when our landfill has been destroyed,,,everyone please keep us in your prayers,,please ❤

The news keeps reporting federal aid being flown in but we are not seeing it. I know because I am also in AVL looking for resources.

Supplies hace been airlifted into some areas. Distribution centers are being set up in many towns and cities. A lot of the helicopter resources are still being used for lifting people up and savings lives yet; and assessing damage in a communication hampered region.

Power line remediation and repair is upto the power company; crews were being mobilized to Florida ahead of the storm, more still on the way on Tues, and many being spread out. Helene wide, those out of power service went from 7 Million down to 2 Million by Sunday morning.

Mary’s prepper just had a video prior to this event and I took it as a crazy amt. now I realize she was right and be prepared with food batteries candles and flash lights . You can get by with a gallon per person per day if you don't cook with it. Hard boil eggs prior to storm. You can even pickle them to last longer and need no refrigeration. A hand can opener is needed, no power. Canned beans have protein.

Candles....people fall asleep and fire erupts. Flashlights are safer. Plus if windows blow out candles will, too. I literally hang my flashlight as a necklace during storms. It saves my sanity. The sound of wind howling and roof creaking is so unnerving. Bless the survivors of Helene.

Air Mobile Joe Hurston (look up Air Mobile Ministries) is working on getting his awesome water filters that provide huge amounts of water, to Asheville. They flew some in yesterday but are going to be driving in from east TN every day with more. They need some funding. He's an awesome guy in his early 70's and he takes these things all over the world.

Power restoration typically starts at the larger structures Like substations, then on down to the individual accounts. I can assure you workers are coming. Sometimes it takes time for them to get there. I work at an elec coop in another state. But those linemen and ROW workers are amazing! Praying for all those affected. ❤

FEMA,so many helicopters making there way up to you all. So many roads are completely out,so there is no way in but by helicopter. The weather was bad Sunday which hampered them. So many people collecting,goods for you folks. At this point over 600 people are missing. I live in NC so I think we are seeing much more of the damage which is wide and massive. It would be nice if you would check in more often after being MIA. You have a lot of people that really care about you on this platform. It's frustrating when you are so inconsistent with video's, because many of your subscribers fear the worst when your absent for weeks. Did Art relapse? Did they have a financial emergency? Is Bri in a deep depression? Are the kids sick? Despite you not worrying about all of us, we worry about all of you. It sucks that it took a disastrous weather emergency to check in with your subs.

We've gotten word that some more secluded mnt towns near Asheville there are children that are without clothing and their parents are dead. The smell of the dead is starting to be noticed and so now people can't use the water to boil to drink... this is horrific!!

Thanks for posting Art, we were worried. I've been thru many hurricanes in Florida, help is coming, but always delayed. Text messages often go thru when calls do not. Supposedly more.free Star link connections have been made. Open your phones/tablets to "roaming", it might help. Neighbors working together are often the best. Please be careful driving, with traffic lights out, accidents are a real danger. We see many private helicopters delivering supplies and helping with rescue. Best wishes.

So sorry for the devastation in your area. God is Absolutely Good to spare so much. My youngest son in SC, a family of 9, alive w/no power. Lost the frig & food, no water. Her elderly parents w/health issues living now with them. Their new roof had 3 leaks, water ran in their basement. Trees down but not on buildings or cars. No power expected for another week. Not sure how they will manage but their 5 boys are 14-24 years old, & are helpers w/strong backs!

I've thought about y'all every single day since this storm passed through. I've prayed for your family. I'm so thankful you guys are ok, but I can't even begin to comprehend the damage you're seeing. We were at Holden Beach when the storm hit and saw lots of severe damage from the previous storm that wasn't even named. Other than wind and a little rain, we didn't really feel the effects of Helene while at the beach, or even when we got home to the Winston Salem/Lexington area of the Piedmont on Friday. But we watched The Weather Channel nonstop for a few days and saw what was happening just west of us. My heart breaks for all those who lost their life, their homes, their farms, and their community as they knew it. I will continue to pray for your family and community. My whole family travels to Boone every year to get Christmas trees and eat at The Peddlin Pig, and I'm bracing for the fact that the trip may not be possible this year, but if it is, everything will be different. My heart is broken for my state. I pray this next storm that they're talking about won't follow the same path as Helene as they're currently predicting it will. Thank you for updating us. This is something that you can’t completely prepare for. When the infrastructure is gone it will be tough. Really tough. Those that the flash floods hit. Forget prepping. They had no warning. All the Valerie’s, branches, creeks, rivers all went monster. The dam breaks? All they could have was somewhat of a warning. Probably couldn’t have gone anywhere anyway. Anyone or everyone should use any empty jars you have. Fill them with water and can the water. If you need to put food in the jar dump the water. Until then you have sterilized water in an emergency!
