Hint: Furiosa lives. Hint Hint: Immortan Joe lives. Hint Hint Hint: Chris Hemsworth's character most likely dies. That's the problem with prequels after sequels. I have a bad feeling about this.

It was theorized that Tom Hardy’s Mad Max was actually the boomerang kid from Mad Max Road Warrior. So technically with that opening line that says 45 years after the collapse. Says that maybe Tom’s Mad Max is actually a grown up boomerang kid. It makes sense that he has growling in his sentencing.

Except at the end of Mad Max 2 the narrator who is the Feral Kid says "As for me I grew to manhood. In the fullness of time, I became the leader. The chief of the Great Northern Tribe." so we know what happened to him. But that would have made more sense than the timeline we have. Max would have to be at lest 40 years older than Furiosa.

I love the films but the Mad Max timeline makes no sense, how much younger than Max is Furiosa? Max was an adult before everything went dystopian.

already the last mad max was ruined by shifting the focus on that chick without the hand... who gives a shit, the protagonist is in the title. MAX.... but we already saw little max in that one so, YES to do a spin off, so we can SEPARATE the 2 things, and have a PROPER mad max, and a PROPER furiosa.

When I first heard that George Miller would be returning to direct a Furiosa prequel, I wasn't thrilled. I grew up on this franchise throughout the 80's and wanted to see Max again. With that said, I really enjoyed this first trailer. There's been some complaints that there's too much usage of CGI and not enough practical effects but I disagree, I feel there's a good balance of both. Can't wait for this!

I actually think a female protagonist contrasts well with the universe of Mad Max. Whether it works or not has everything to do with whether the writing is good. Having said that, I hope to see Max return soon.

Honestly, I don't care if Max is in the movie or not(it would be better if he is included of course) , if they deliver an entertaining movie I'm always up for it. We go to movies on weekends to have fun. The trailer looks good. Let's hope it works out.

I could've maybe excused this spin-off existing 8 years ago, but as it is now it feels like they just waited too long just to be "current year." And even then I didn't think that many people wanted a spin-off over this one character.

Fury Road was a cinematic masterpiece in ACTUAL FILMING using ACTUAL vehicles and action sequences. This looks like a CGI shit show. VERY disappointing.

We might get more max which be fine but it called Furiosa for a reaction this her story and what more could ask for ? Anya Taylor Joy fantastic actress so I’m excited for it nice change away from Superhero movies

Honestly any Mad Max prequel should have been about the early days of the Main Force Patrol and Max's mentor The Dark One...This should even have the Mad Max tag on it..

She doesn't look like a bad ass the way Theron was in the role. Maybe that's intentional to make her look timid and weak till she goes threw trials but I think it's a miscast
