He was instrumental in moving Biden out and replacing him with a poor candidate who was not electable. Kamala Harris was slaughtered in the initial primary debates and quickly went to the bottom in the polls. As VP, she was unable to build a team that was cohesive. After a time, much of her staff quit due to poor morale, infighting, and lack of support from their boss. Obama thought he was influential and popular enough to get her elected, but he was wrong. Choosing Harris as the POTUS candidate was a colossal strategic blunder, and he deserves a good share of the blame.
