Really excellent video. It's just amazing how tastes change. I didn't like the Bangle designs when they were new, but they're so modern now. He was years ahead in styling.

Had my E63 630i 3 years now.. and I literally just discovered another feature I never knew it had. If you click the mirror adjustment switch to the right & then put it into reverse.. the mirror dips down so you can see the kerb..and thus avoid damaging your wheels! Who knew lol 🤷🏼♂️ Have just ordered some new VEEMANN VC7 20” alloys, 9” front and 10.5” rear from BM Autosport along with some Eibach springs to lower it a little (much like this car). Should freshen up the appearance 😎

its amazing how cheap these are back home in england. My father was trying to buy a 650ci back in the day, but the dealer was too slow. I also looked at one before my wife bought me my 1 series :D it was a dark red 630ci, thou buying a car like this in Moscow is very risky, as they don't tend to look after their cars. Nice video matt. Cheers :D

Thanks Matt. Have you seen Hoovies Bentley that came from Russia? Possibly from gangsters and definitely not well cared for! I now some Bulgarians here and they have family who visit by plane, buy cheap cars and drive home as a bargain VW in the UK is so much better condition than one over there, for the same reasons apparently
@mattsbeamer5 жыл бұрын
furiousdriving yes, that bentley was crazy. I have looked at a few thou, that hoovies one, is the worst by far. Supercars here are much cheaper than the Uk thou. My friend bought a gallardo for about 60% of the Uk one. Normal cars in Moscow are much more expensive thou. I wanted to by my fathers old cayenne, and send it over to Moscow, but the import tax was about $25-30k . I really need to find out the prices of bargain cars in russia :D

I'm contemplating buying one of these, as I'm a big lump of a man I think this is one of the few "performance" cars I can fit in comfortably, there are also a surprising amount of them for sale out there and I love the styling albeit controversial to others. I'd of course love an original mint 80's 6 series, but will wait until I become a millionaire for that purchase!

I test-drove the 630i convertible when it was new. Compared to the original E24 635CSi that I had at the time, the all-round visibility wasn't the best. No room at all in the back, and the indicator cancellation system was unusual. The engine was lovely, though, and closest in spirit to the old M30. If you do a search for the Fisker Latigo CS, this is the body shape which the E63 should have had. Much more pleasant to look at, and closer to the E24 ancestry.

I have a 2008. LCI or facelift. It has the N53 engine, heaps of grunt for normal driving. Change from the RFT's to normal tyres and that will make the ride much better. Use the sport button, and its quite the jump up in response. You don't need a V8. These are the best bmw's from the era. Last of the low offset beemers. It rocks, modern classic.

@@Jaspal1993 it’s great. Can’t complain. Both are reliable units compared the the V8's. 630i is best for driver feel as it is lighter, revs higher and is naturally aspirated. 635d is tuneable for more power due to biturbo. Bear in mind 635d is not ULEZ exempt if you live in/frequent London
