Hey Pete, I'm 23 and from Scotland, I have recently recovered from 3 cycles of BEP chemo for testicular cancer. Watching someone who has been through the same as me and the fact that you have the same positive attitude has helped me alot. People ask me how I have remained positive... for anyone who is reading this you should know that even when something as terrifying as cancer is sprung on you the support that friends, family and even strangers can give you all you need. Pete, I don't know you personally unfortunately but watching this resonates with me alot... I don't normally post things like this on social media but thank you for giving me. BEP chemo is no joke. I went through 12 weeks of it myself starting June 18th 2007 (Been in remission ever since May 2008). Not only is the nausea too much at times, but after the first week, everything you eat tastes like you're licking a metal pole. It's hard to stay positive, but you have to try as best as you can.

My aunt who lived next block of me, who means a lot to me, always bring food over and invited me to her house parties, passed away tonight 9pm due to ovarian cancer. I did not see her at all because I wanted to preserve the memory of her, and I knew she have many family members that support her. My Grandma, had Ovarian Cancer and it kinda came in as surprise to us all but to me she'll never leave my heart or my soul. She always said as she was going through the treatment that, your not done seeing me around. She said that she was ready to fight she was ready to fight and win. Yet when the cancer was spreading all through her body she had, had enough. She fought that battle for 2 years and she will inspire me forever. I thank her and now you for showing me that life isn't a straight path in the road with no bumps or detours. Life is a never ending shit storm, but so what. Around ten years ago me and my family had a friend who was my little brothers teacher who went through chemotherapy for his cancer. Unfortunately it didn't work and he ended up passing away so it was very tough to swallow that. Seeing you going through what seems like a completely successful chemotherapy could not make me more happy for you Pete, I'm 100% honest when I say congrats for making it through those tough times.
