I've been furloughed since March from the hotel in the city where I live along with my co-workers that work there. As far as I know, only 3 people are there doing everything else. No restaurant or banquet events. Just this month, they started doing A monthly newsletter giving us updates when we could be called back. I don't think it'll be in October. I'll be surprised if that happens. Best tips I can give y'all is to talk to friends by video when you can depending on the situation in Texas is. Also, get the app called Tubi. that's movies and tv shows. All categories.

My son was the manager of the restaurant/banquet inside of a hotel. Furloughed in early March and completely fired in July. They said they are closing for a year and renovating the whole hotel. So many jobs were lost and people are left scrambling trying to make ends meet. We're in Virginia.

Kacey I am a colleague in Pittsburgh. I work in the warehouse. I have been with the company for almost 16 years. I started as a ramp agent in PHX when it was America West which merged with USAirways and went to Reservations call center and ticket and gate agent, then went to the warehouse as a stock clerk aka material logistics specialist. I transferred from PHX to PIT in 2019

You need to go back to U of Kentucky for training in another line of work. Kacey, I know several people who spent their young working years in the airline industry and now having nothing to retire on. I know that seems like a long way off now, but those working years do fly by.

Coming from a fellow AA employee, I feel your pain and appreciate your positivity in not talking about the possible furlough in last 6 months and not dwelling on it like some other F/A’s on here. When the airliner that I work for went from hundreds of flights a week to 6 flights a week past March. Your vlogs really kept me going all the way to my “back on the job flight” in July. I am praying for you that you get recalled sooner than you might think ❤️✈️🙏🏽

Well Kacey, on a positive note - if you follow Emirates, they are reopening to more international destinations. And the vaccines are in the final stages of getting ready. Economies are more hurt than individuals with the effects of COVID-19. So considering these factors, let's predict that the first quarter of 2021 if we got vaccine within this year; the aviation industry would start on recovering dramatically.

Hi Kacey - Great to hear you two made it to Wyoming! I'm a bit partial, in my humble opinion it is God's country. I've spent all of my 59 years here. I travel a lot with my occupation and have seen some beautiful places around the country but Wyoming will always be my favorite and my home. I started following you over a year ago solely because I love flying and used to fly many moons ago mainly for recreation. I have several friends who fly with a few of the majors. One couple I went to college with, he flies for United and She for American both are pilots and absolutely great people. - I hope to see video footage from your trip to Wyoming. All those who are furloughed are actually blessed and lucky to be safe from this deadly pandemic. Flight attendants job is highly risky in this situation as you guys are not even wearing proper ppe kit even to protectyourself. Sir, unfortunately 9 11 only lasted ~3 months before people started flying again. Covid effects thus far has lasted SIX months and no end in sight. My cousin has been a United flight attendant for 16 years. She’s not going to be furloughed nor are her hours going to be reduced. According to her it’s due to her 16 years of employment with near perfect attendance.

The California Infowarrior Report For 10yrs. I was an undercover narc in SoCal. I Protected and Served the residents of California, giving my life to do what’s right. Had to leave the Department due to Maxillary Cancer which included surgery and 32 cancer radiation treatments to the head area. Proud to say prior to the radiation treatments my IQ was 143 (genius level). Unfortunately, post radiation treatments I took the test again and my IQ went to 110. I graduated from UCLA majoring in Meteorology with a minor in Police Science.

I would love to fly out of EYW on a mainline jet. I bet the takeoff was awesome. DL had to restrict passengers on their 737s to ATL. Do you have to on the 319? Not a fall girl? Fly to BTV, MHT or PWM and go sightseeing and leaf viewing. That will change real quick 😀

Kacey, I flew on AA from Chicago to Phoenix with a connection in Dallas! Anyway, I have to say that there were flight attendants who were flying on their last trips and call me a CHICKEN but when I was talking with them I was moved to tears as I feel so bad for them and I told them what happened to me when I was quarantined which was I was fired from my job. That said, we talked about how we all had to stay positive as this is a short term issue! Kacey, it has been fun watching your videos and I hope that you will keep making them even though your not taking any trips. Take care God Bless and have a great day today!

You're gonna be back up in the air in no time. I'm in Chicago, and everyone is sick of the restrictions, and a lot of people I know are starting to travel again. Everyone has a natural urge to travel and explore. The furlough won't last long. I already hear a lot more planes overhead in the sky, as of a month ago. 🙏🏻

Glad to hear u were able to get some winter gear for Alaska. Two of my kids worked the summer in Denali NP and my daughter, who hates the cold, must have worn 3 sweaters everyday she was so cold. And that was in the summer! My last trip to AK was in 2016 over the Summer Solstice and we wore jackets which is odd 4 me bc I can go in shorts here in FL when it is down to 35-40 degrees. Enjoy ur trip. AK is a great place to visit. Just out of curiosity, once the Oct lay-off occurs, will u still b able to fly at no charge or do u lose that benefit? Stay strong.
