You must realize that I'm not a professional HVAC guy I just slowly learned how to take my own furnace apart and check for things that are going wrong so if I mispronounced what anything may be so be it this video is just to help someone to get out of a pinch. Sorry trolls that are HVAC guys I mispronounced a couple things but in the end it ended up being a decent video that helped a lot of people with some quick troubleshooting stuff that's exactly right. I just mispronounced what the term is but all this is a good troubleshooting stuff. I'm now been taking some courses on this and it's so easy that it amazes me that HVAC guys rip us off so much. I have a really good HVAC guy that I go out with and I'm just going to be doing this for fun as I'm now retired so I hope everything went all right for everyone. It really is amazing to me cuz I just did this comment in December of 2024 in amazes me how easy it is to take these things apart and fix them in these guys charge us hundreds of dollars or even thousands to replace it it's really easy and simple they don't deserve to make that much money it's so simple. I want to thank the man who's been training me for quite some time now and I'm going to get licensed and I can go and fix some on the side and very part-time now I'm retired thank you so much for watching the video.

Your video had me check the hose. It was clogged with something. Pushed it out and now no more short cycles! Seriously thankful because the funds aren't really there to hire a HVAC pro in this economy! Everyone else is al about the flame sensor... You're a g!

Trust me I get it that's why I'm lucky my buddy does my work and has been training me how to fix my furnace I pretty much can fix just about anything on it I'm lucky. Someone got on me because I didn't call it the pressure switch and I'm like whatever I'm saving myself money and I thought I'd pass it on SIMPLE maintenance look at the house see if it's got cracks you figured it out just like I did my friend I'm glad we can save money.

Thank you. That pressure switch and its tubing have got to be kept clean and serviceable. That tubing in your furnace should be replaced with a higher grade tubing that is more heat resistant. I also found the pressure switch itself can be checked with a simple and gentle "blow" test to see if the switch clicks. All good advice and can save beaucoup bucks. Also, I have a supplier on hand that can ship me a new presssure switch overnight if the need arises. Knowledge IS power.

Good Job!! Back in the day when automobiles had lots of vacuum lines that operated things this same thing usta happen. Small cracks that were hard to see in brittle vacuum lines made the vehicle run bad because they would throw off the fuel to air ratio. Same fix. Snip off the bad part and reattach

Sometimes the stuck open pressure sense error is caused by a clogged vacuum port on the IDB Happened to me twice Just clean it out with a pipe cleaner or something

Yeah I understand what you're saying absolutely. I'm just lucky my buddy has been training me for years on how to tear furnace apart it really is not that hard it's amazing what they charge. I've taken this furnace apart for years put it back together nothing to it. It always seems overwhelming at first but there is nothing to a furnace ethics cars and small engines for a living and furnaces is like nothing

I know I was doing the video and I was drawing a blank that's awesome I just now remembered it was so long ago. It's alright someone that's just died in a needle understand it's a simple snap and pop it back on thank you though I'm at home improvement I'm not a professional heating and cooling person but I can tear down a furnace and put it back together just about anything so I apologize I just try to throw video end to help someone do a quick little attempt to get something going cuz something as simple as that they'll understand thank you

If that rubber tube has a droop that can hold water, that can cause the issue, as well. I shortened the hose, on mine, so it had no droop, problem solved in 5 min.

mine done same thing, but a dead bird was in the exhaust pipe going out of the inducer motor up and out of the roof, it was in the first pipe attached to the exghust exit of motor
@bopitbull39579 ай бұрын
I understand when I took my pipe off it was literally had like a pencil hole in it it had so much carbon buildup and take it all out and dig it out and clean it and how to put the same one back on it's insane how it still works with a small hole finally it would shut off I get it. I'm big on putting screen over the top of chimneys and all exhaust pipes on my roof.

@@jessiecannon617 just look up what kind of hose needed for the pressure switch on your furnace. In a pinch I would just use the same hoses on my fish aquarium. I swear it's no different then my fish aquarium hose. But it gets really hot so it could be I don't know. It would be simple just to go to a Lowe's or home Depot or an Ace hardware where someone can help you and say I need to get hose for my furnace pressure switch they'll help you find the right hose. It's springtime turn your furnace off for an hour pop the hose off take it in Tullahoma that goes to they'll find the right hose I would go to an Ace hardware or something like that where you can find someone that can help you. Home Depot gone downhill not that they ever had the best customer service in the store but just look it up. You can probably order it off Amazon I don't know. I'm going to have to look for some myself because I've just been nipping ends off mine for so long. You just get a piece it's a little bit longer so you can kind of leave it around so it's safe like the one that you have now. So you always have extra cuz the ends get hot and wear and you're going to have to clip them off down the road. Listen I'm just a straight-up handyman I'm not a specialist on this but I can find out by tomorrow and I'll try to get back to you but it should be easy you can probably find it on your phone.
