The reason those cupboards usually have legs is so the doors will open. They won't open because your rug is now in the way. You might want to get legs.

I think getting two sideboards was a good choice, Hermione! They look good. For myself, I would have purchased a table lamp to go on the sideboards, instead of the floor lamp, which takes up space you really don't have to spare. But that's just me. 😊You little home is looking quite cozy! ♥

Those sideboards looks really good. Leg idea, if the doors gets tricky to open over the rug, can you buy two pieces of wood 2by4 ( or what ever they are called, and size/length you like) stain them to match the furniture? Place a bit in so it makes the sideboards looks floating.

I love the two sideboards and the big standing lamp, I think the biggest mistake people can make is buy really tiny things for small apartments. I really enjoy how these items elevate the space and makes it look bigger! I bet using the projector there at night makes it feel so cosy! x

Put in a high shelf (with lower ones) and display the “books” with some fake plants. Things that won’t be too heavy or require you up a ladder to water something. Scotch guard the couch. It’s easy and it’s just spray in a can. You might need 2-3 cans.

I think that using the rug in the bedroom to hide the cubby is a great idea you could sew a channel and put a pole through it so you could still get to the cubby when you need to. The dining table looks so good with your new chairs. The sideboards look fab they add warmth to the room

Woww the sideboards are great but I would put legs ( mid century modern ones) would elevate them. The chairs are stunning but you need a round big jude rug under your table. The space is coming along beautifully. 👌👌👌❤❤❤❤

Good choice with the chairs and the sideboards! And regarding the books: As you keep them anyway, why not DIYing them into the storage Items you need? That way you can fit it custom to your space :)

Hey, the appartment is coming together brilliantly! I love the sideboards, if you end up wanting legs just make a wooden frame out of 2x2 or 3x3 for them to sit on (you could paint or stain the wood to suit). Also the IKEA couch covers are.machine washable (I have that sofa but a huge corner version) I machine wash on 30 with a wash tab and a one scoop of wilkos version of vanish (I'm sure you can find vanish over there) and my covers come up like new! You could also get some scotch guard spray and spray the couch covers for added protection from spills. x

They need legs, the carpet is above the bottom of the cabinets, not sure if when you open the doors the rug interferes with them. I think a little height would look better. Love them they are very nice! Your place is coming along nicely. Great job!

I stayed at an Airbnb once that had stairs running above the coffee bar. The amount of dirt getting on the coffee machine and amenities was staggering. We never had coffee or tea from that bar obviously. I would try to find a transparent plexi glass to secure under your stairs as well, to protect the kitchen as best as possible. Some simple stick-on diy should make a huge difference. Just an idea.

That first big box you had... we had delivery few year's back big box.. I cut 2 huge circle's out of them smaller circle in the middle and made a massive huge pom pom all different shades of pink grey and white wool.... it looks brilliant just doing 2nd one now... lovely video.. thank you xx

Fun vlog. Rug under glass table not to big. Maybe get very small feet for the sideboards just to raise them a few cm off the ground so you can open the doors.. because with the rug.. the doors don't look like they can open.

Home is where you decorate! Love the pink. I’m old enough to be your nan, I know; job taken, BUT I remember Mamie Eisenhower. In the fifties she was our President Eisenhower’s wife. Just like you, her kitchens were ALWAYS pink, and she made pink popular. My kitchen has red in it. My cowboy husband (I live in Texas) could barely deal with red, let alone pink. I’d love to have a pink house. Not happening this side of heaven. My art studio is pink, red and black. Love seeing you make yourself comfy wherever you live.

Have you thought about having head of bed at the railing end then when you put the rug up as wall hanging it might work as a projector screen to watch stuff when your in bed
