Don't be too hard on yourself that it took 7 months to finish the space. The best looking spaces are growing and evolving with time, so 7 months are great! Also the end result looks so calming and like you said like it was your space which is the most important thing in my opinion. :)

If you keep wires coiled when you turn them on, you can get a thing called Eddy Currents across the coils which gets hot and can catch fire so watch out! My Physics A-level was a little while ago now but I saw someone mention it again the other day. xx

A great hack for minimal damage is push pins you use in sewing. I would add a tension rod and hang the curtain. You could even get crazy and string some lights behind it to mimic a window. You make all your spaces super cute.

The tape measure cracked me up! You used your hair clips like I do clothes pegs for small diys! "Necessity is the mother of invention" and all that!😊

This is so lovely Hermione! I nearly rented a similar flat on airbnb for my stay in Seoul next month, but opted for a different one in the end. But seeing your flat makes me have some doubts about my choice. There really is something special about these lofted small flats! They can be 'locked' open or shut with the black button on the top but sometimes the lock gives out. Mine's like that now but mainly because it somehow ended up in the washing machine. Ooppsy! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤪

Yes! Covering the alcove has nade all the difference! It looked so temporary before (maybe it was the suitcases giving that impression?). Now it looks like an actual cozy room.

I LOVE your pink fan in your loft ! You did an outstanding job on the alcove cover up ! Wow !!! VERY well done !!! That was so cute and funny with the tape measure lolol. The small wall light is genius. Loved everything you did. Your loft looks so welcoming and usable now. I've lived in my current home for over 5 years, and I still change things often lol. Today I ordered 2 new pieces of furniture one for my living room that goes into my dining room (most of my home is open concept) and the other piece will replace an old piece in my dining room which is also where my front door is lol. I saw a trick to hang fabric on a wall the person used clothes pegs the flat ones and attached command strips to the back and clipped the material on. not quite to the top but interesting.
