Furniture Foam Basics -- Part 1

It looks like when I go buy a brand new recliner, i'll have to immediately take it to an upholsterer and have the back and the seat foam replaced with better material...that is tragic. Maybe I should be shopping for commercial grade furniture :/ I've watched foam explanation videos and your way of speaking was by far more understandable! Thanks mate!

There are lots of manufacturer's who have good quality furniture but you have to pay for it. There's no free enchilada!

I have a 3 yr old La-Z-boy recliner that was custom ordered. I paid extra for the better memory foam seat cushion and I found that the top softer layer that’s about 2” thick has separated from the main foam cushion and this top layer has somehow pulled rearward in the seat deforming the seat area. I tried contacting La-Z-boy and received no help from their support. The operator said they will have someone call me and they never did. Any suggestions? I have the skills to do the repair myself but I need the foam.

@michaelgodfrey9384 - If you want to use memory foam again, you'll likely have to get it through La-z-boy. Try contacting the manufacturer again via email. Also, you can contact the dealer (seller) where you purchased the recliner to see if they can help.
