​@OldDunollieman If you use thicker wood pieces instead of furring strips, you can make the table as sturdy as you want. This table is designed to go behind a couch and against the wall, and it doesn't have much need to be super sturdy.

Pointer - from another DIY thrifty Mom. Get a Kreg pocket hole hug next time. It’s super easy and allows you to hide your screws and makes the table even stronger. The small one is only $20 but you can use it on all your projects in the future. To save money get cheaper wood screws with the matching tip to the jig. I LOVE mine!

Is the top piece 10in or 12in? Once the 8in pieces are connected to the longer pieces to make the sides of the table it ends up making the table 12 inches deep. I only ask cause I really like the depth of your table and don’t know wether to make it a 12in top or cut the 8in pieces down to 6 inches.
