This is one of the most (Excellent) videos on this subject I have ever seen... Clean and simple advice we all can understand. Thank YOU so much for this video. I am getting ready to recover a 37 year old couch in an RV... (they want so much money for a fold-out bed/couch!!! Yikes... You have save me time and money... Thank you so much for sharing this video.

Wow, finally someone mentioned the way to cut the pesky corner fabric. Too late for my first try , a recovering of a piano bench, but good to know everything you showed and clearly said for my next try...gulp! Gulp!!!thanks

If you don’t have a white rubber mallet but you have a black one, fit a white sock or white bootie over it so you don’t transfer marks to the material.

The correct way to use a seam ripper is the lottle red ball down, not up. Works faster and cleaner. Give it a try.

The cardboard strip across the back and the tack strips are what I needed to finish my project! I've been delaying the top part of my antique chair because, although I saw good videos on the subject, each failed to mention how to make the back side neat. I hope to finish my chair with ease. THANK YOU!

Thank you for this video! Just ignore the negative comments...criticism is helpful when it is less negative! Helpful tips help people to become better not negative rude comments....it may not be a perfect “pro” job but it was most helpful indeed for those who cannot afford the “pro” job? thanks once again for this video!

Overpriced. Are you kidding me. As an upholsterer I can assure you we are cheaper then plumbers and electricians. And with anything in life you get what you pay for. Want a poor job like this then DIY it. But don't slate a tradesman for being overpriced when clearly you have no idea what your talking about
@aerinmiller52894 жыл бұрын
Either way...I read this and did a little scroll to see how much trash was being talked, it must be buried deep because all I see are thank you's and praise. Someone likes drama.

not everyone can afford a bazillion dollars for the "pro" and too many "pros" don't want to share the knowledge so people can learn. if you don't like improper technique may I suggest producing your own tutorials. I have learned some great tips from novices and god bad advice from "pros' so it is a matter of getting useful information where you can find it and leaving the rest.no one learns and craft without making mistakes.

@Mad_Props7 жыл бұрын
This isn't right. If you keep flipping from one side staple to the other it's going to pull the weave and make the print uneven and also unnecessarily stretch the fabric. You have to do one side first, and then the other. And that pleat!!! Hideous. Why not get some pros to help you with your videos?
