I love Montserrat! I've been there a couple of times, most recently last summer when I walked up to the highest point in 38° (I also saw a snake 😃)! ..and those strange looks you were getting.. as a mountain biker, I also get them, usually when walking into a shop /cafe covered on mud.. or, like today when I was taking my bike on the bus to the countryside to ride back in the snow. The bus driver was like "Are you sure you want to go there?!?! 😮The snow is this deep" (as he gestured with his hands)! My response was "..that's EXACTLY why I'm going there! 😂 You can't keep a good woman down, or a wild one, indoors! 😏💪🏼🚵🏼‍♀️

Spray the squeky parts of your boots with DuPont Chain Saver Wax Based Lubricant. Works amazing stopping squeaky boots!!! My Alpinestars boots use to drive me up a wall with the constant squeaking.
