Jack Straw at around 30 minutes to the end of the song was the highlight of the show ...

I don't know if you were there, but the harvest moon hit the horizon just as they started playing that most ridiculously good version of my favorite dead tune, jack straw. My treats kicked in at right about that moment. It was a spiritual experience for me. this might be a bit over the top, but it was quite possibly the best moment of my life.

MacHobbsMusic I can relate, dude. I was there, too. Don't recall this song, but I am listening to it now and am absoltuely blown away by the jamming. Ruso never fails to astonish me with his drumming. The way he compliments the keyboard solo and listens to and pushes the other members is both softer and heavier than any other dead/phil/bobby line-up. I had a suspicion that was my last Furthur show while watching it with my best friends all gathered around me, but it stings an extra little bit at the moment. God Bless us all.

Your band is only as good as it's drummer. And this band is really really good. I could listen to Russo all day long. Just the drum track. Okay, maybe not that. But my ears always find their way to the drum track.
