One reason why Labour wanted to add VAT on private schools, so more children would end up having to rely on State schools, where Labour can control education. I went to a private school, albeit it in the 1980s. Private schools still have some degree of control over how the National Curriculum is taught. Also, there are still some secular, religious schools, single sex schools etc. Labour is trying to prevent parents from having the choice of where and how their children are educated.

The State will do as it sees fit. Orphans and children from poor homes, were sent to the colonies to work and breed. That practice continued up to and during the 1970's It happened to my great uncle at the age of 14. The so called great and the good decided he was to be sent to Canada. On the day of departure , his sister, my grandmother, found him hanging from the rafters in the barn. He had committed no crime, his father dropped dead when he was 5 years old. Easy pickings.

No, Citizens of England should be taught English history and culture and when in Scotland Scottish history, Wales in Wales and Irish in Northern Ireland. "British" will then take care of itself. Just watched Martin Daubney on GB news. He was talking to a labour activist (an asian teacher) she said that those who come over the channel in the dingys do not get get accommodation , food, spending money, health provision etc until they have had their claims assessed. He made a pathetic attempt to say she was wrong but let it slide. GB news are too scared of upsetting ofcom

The British people are diverse enough: men, women and children some with dark brown, light brown, blond or grey hair, some with thick, thin or no hair, some with curly, wavy or straight hair, some with olive, pinkish or ivory coloured skin, some tall, medium or short in stature, some overweight, slim or thin, some with dark brown, hazel, blue or green eyes, many different accents and some different languages. In my opinion that makes us diverse enough.

I was livid last year at my sons new school induction day for parents...This is a school that is set up for children with complex needs...So one might be able to empathise, when walking into reception to book ourselves in, only to see over the receptionists hatch, Gay Pride bunting, with those words emblazoned onto the rainbow coloured triangular flags... I have no issue with homosexuality, or the pride of it, HOWEVER, I do have a problem with schools pushing this political ideology on young impressionable and vulnerable children's minds... For the children who might want to steer towards that way in life, let THEM decide on their own volition, rather than these Lefty university educated idiots pushing it onto them...Allow children to make up their own minds, rather than shaming them if they don't want to embrace this course in life...
