Hi Kathy I have tried these hearts but they cam out cloudy and the murrini seems squished any suggestions. I used mostly clear Tekta scrap cut up with some course clear frit
@KathyFitz11132 ай бұрын
@@KathHunt-j2j Hi, I use relatively large pieces of tekta to form a base for the murrini and cover them with large pieces too. Then I fill around the edges with smaller pieces. The pieces I use are never as small as “coarse frit”. I find commercial frit shrinks a lot so the murrini, and freeze-n-fuse components can look squished, and they can move in the kiln.

Could you share your firing schedule please? For flower hearts
@KathyFitz11134 ай бұрын
@@myraklayman7511 Absolutely. 😊 I use this full fuse schedule in a Paragon Caldera for these. Segment Rate Process Hold 1 400 1250 30 2 600 1480 10 3 999 900 60 4 150 700 end Oops! Strike that. It looks like I used the (bigger) JenKen for these. Segment Rate Process Hold 1 200 1000 30 2 999 1350 30 3 500 1425 20 4 999 950 6 5 150 700 0

Where do you buy your murrini from? Thanks for video 👍😜
@KathyFitz11138 ай бұрын
You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. 😊 Most of my murrini came from Tabitha’s Glass Emporium. Some came from Wilderness Glass.

When you write 999, do you really mean 9999 as in As Fast As Possible?
@KathyFitz11135 ай бұрын
@@aline1148 Yes, sorry if that was confusing. For one of my kilns as fast as possible is 9999, but for the other it’s 999.

Gah! Blew a breaker! I swear this is a metaphor for my life. 😂 Great video! Would you share the kiln you use? ❤️❤️❤️
@KathyFitz11135 ай бұрын
@@SharonClerico I know that feeling. Thanks! I was using a Jen-Ken kiln until I lost the controller and switched back to the Paragon Caldera. Hopefully the Jen-Ken will be fixed soon because it’s a lot bigger.
