I can't believe I finally finished the last episode today. Took me quite a while to make up my mind and finish the whole TV and OVA series. I was 13 when I first fall in love with Fushigi Yuugi. And I love it just the same seventeen years later. Oh, how time flies for this kid at heart. ^_^

I know that a lot of people don't really like Mayo all that much but the moment she cried in Taka's arms, I really felt it and I just wanted to hug her too. Compared to Miaka, her life at home was even sadder which is why I sympathised with her eventually though I don't agree with her selfish side in the beginning. Taka shouldn't have lashed out on her out of anger and fear earlier but I can understand why because of his beloved wife's condition so I don't blame him. In the end, Mayo got to say her feelings honestly.

Since i was a little i already know this anime. And i fell inlove to it. And now? I dont even know that there is a continuation of fushigi yuugi. I first saw this on Tv. Then it came back again and decided to watch it again. And then i saw the OVA series. And it made my heart cri again. This was the great anime ive watched and i will not forget this. One of ny favorites the others are Special A and a character name Sunako Nakahara. I want a copy of book of this. Huhuhuhu.

I never hated an ending as much as this. This episode ruined the whole series. What's the point of the warriors deaths is the scene designed to get a rise or provoke peoples emotions? Because that's how I see how pointless it is when everyone's reborn and then get their original body back. And Mayo, holy hell Yuu Watase great job on making us hate this character more than Yui in the beginning. I think she created too much hate you can't go back liking this character because she shows absolute signs of true psychopathy having zero empathy on killing babies, okay with plotting the deaths of many, the country going to hell and she's there thinking about some delusion she made up in her head, threatening, manipulation to everyone, abusive even controlling... And what grinds my gears is she had a lot of friends who showed concern for her, best friend who loves her and divorced parents who still cares for her and yeah it's traumatizing for seeing parents divorced but not enough to push someone to psychopathy especially when they have a great childhood and environment with zero abuse! Mayo started this at an early age, god knows how she'll turn up growing up. Save the she's a teenager bull, even teenagers would go ballistic at this concept of teenagers and how badly this show portrayed them. Like I said Yuu. Watase did a too much of a great job convincing this so called protragonist can come back to good. And taka even go so far as convincing this brat she saved everyone to convince her she is a good person. Yeah she made a mistake, don't absolve it! Let her acknowledge it, take responsibility for her toxicity, have her see to ask for forgiveness and acknowledge the repercussions she did that way she has character growth but nooooo... And invite her to when Miaka giving birth good god!! It's like a slap to the facr. That so wouldn't happened whether in real life or in fiction! Holy hell was all this pointless!! No wonder I reject this episode from my memory everytime I watch back the whole anime from scratch the death scenes I'd cry because when I know they're going to go back fully corporeal alive at the end, there's no point in crying and feeling for these characters. Pffft. Consider this episode erased from my memory! Because this anime holds a special place in my memories and heart. No wonder this sloppy plotline can kill that. It's a good concept but it's just the direction it went all to shit.
