I am currently doing a PM940V conversion. I’ve followed Yours and Marty’s advice as well as others like NYCCNC. After you did your acorn speed control you haven’t updated us on the new mill running. I’m sure others would like to see it running and also see more updates and upgrades on that mill. Your videos inspire more than you realize. Hope you produce more in the future. Thanks for all you’ve shared so far!

Amazing Video thank you! Will it also work with a manufacturing model or do I have to select the component and the manufacturing model?

Hi Franco, great videos! You appear to be an advanced Fusion user so I thought I'd see if you can help me with an issue related to this process. I use the same parametrically driven Kurt vise that you do but I've incorporated parametrically driven stock into it as well. Once I bring the vise into my part file, I can adjust the size of the stock and parallels before putting the part into the stock with a rigid joint. This all works great for the first setup but not the second. After creating a copy of the part and flipping it to the correct position for the second setup, I bring another vise in as before. However, any change made by changing any of the parameters effects the vise for the first setup but not the vise for the second setup. My work-around is to adjust the size of the parallels and the distance between jaws in the vise file before bringing it into the part file. I then have to turn off the visibility of the parametrically driven stock that comes in with the vise and follow your process in CAM for creating the stock from the preceding setup which works fine. Is there a way to do this so the parameters of the two vises in the same file can be controlled separately?

Hey Franco I really like all Your videos! Thanks for all the great info, I have been watching Your older videos about the PM 728 cnc conversion. I'm getting ready to get a 3d printer and then a mill to do the cnc conversion. I'm thinking I'll get a prusa printer and a pm 728 vt ultra precision. Would You recommend these or would you start with different brands or sizes? Thanks again

Love your videos! Knowing what you know now, do you recommend doing a PM-25MV CNC conversion? Or would you do something different?

Well, I don't regret any of my past experiences - they were valuable to me and immensely helpful. But, going forward, I would just spend more money upfront and buy a purpose built CNC mill. The biggest problem with these DIY conversions is the rigidity of the vertical column. I have yet to see a benchtop mill with the column rigidity that I want.

@@FrancoCNC Thank you for the reply and valuable insight! Much appreciated. That wisdom itself is worthy of a video. So many are asking that very same question.

Good Video for a advance user, you should make a video for a very first time user , Fusion 360 looks little hard to learn, i been using Gibbs for a while its pretty easy

Hi. I've been working with some GibbsCAM guys who are being forced by their supervisor to switch to Fusion 360. They hated it at first, but now they like it. You can use Fusion like GibbsCAM but you miss out on a lot of cool features. You can stick with solid bodies and not use components and it behaves like Gibbs.
