Can you think of a time the combine command would have helped you but you didn't know about it?

I have two step file parts that were designed for me. The two parts connect together with a dovetail joint. All the sharp edges of the dovetails have been filleted. When I print the parts on my 3D printer the tolerances are too tight. The male end could be reduced .25mm or the female end opened .25mm for a better fit. My question is how difficult would this be to do if all the edges are already filleted?

When I do this it does not do anything. I keeps everything in multiple parts still. No effect unfortunately

After using the combine command, is there an opposite for the combine command to split the body into 4 parts again?

Question: what's the point of joining bodies? Shouldn't the software just do this as you go? Just started working in Fusion a bit and I'm confused because PTC products just do this automatically. Edit: and just wanted to add, it's ridiculous you have to join bodies between two or more intersecting solids to make a simple fillet -wasted huge time on figuring this out.

Who says one have to join bodies. One CAN join bodies, or just let it be. Sometimes it's practical to keep seperate bodies, to modify, instead of them automatially joining. If one choose to join the bodies the merg line disapears, less bodies, look more clean
