Mr. CADJungle I have a really big problem 😅 I have a special blower fan blade.. But so old and broken.. I wanna print a new one but too difficult model 🤷♂️ can you help me somehow?
@CADJungle Жыл бұрын
So, I am willing to assist you so that you can learn Fusion 360 and hone the skills to create things on your own as well.. I would start out by gathering different photos at different angles. I would then would take measurements of the item itself and if the manufacturer or vendor has listed dimensions, include those also. You can email me at support@monetaryingenuity.com with the specific product you have and we can work on it together! While, my schedule is pretty tight, I will do my best to set aside sometime to assist.

I've been searching all over for sts s3m pulley files and have given up, figured I'd try and look up how to design them. This vid was super. I'd sort of be going at it backwards though, since I know the number of teeth (12) I need on my pulley, but not the initial diameter or circumference. Since S3M is a 3mm belt pitch, is it just as simple as 12 x 3?

@hungrythundr4892 Жыл бұрын
Their is a fusion 360 plugin that lets you do helical gears simply by setting the number of teeth, size of the gear and taper of the helix. It creates the part as a component instead of body though.

One quick video lesson on multiple origins please. Each component can have its own origin, but is there a way to edit those origins in XYZ, the same way we do on a cnc milling machine? Is it possible to use user variables for each axis in g54, g55 etc?
@CADJungle2 жыл бұрын
That' will be a good video to create. In the meantime here's a potential solution: The move command in Fusion 360 won't change the component origin when you move a body. With this in mind, create a copy of the component using Copy/Paste New. This will be a placeholder for the position of the component. Next, move the original component so its origin matches the main origin or a specific origin you choose. Next, move the component body to it's original position using the Point to Point option in the move/copy command between it and the copy. Remove the copy. Also, you can't define new names for each axis however, as a work-around, you can create a selection set for each axis and give it a name. Hopefully this helps for now!
@gillisdebilio70862 жыл бұрын
@@CADJungle I came up with a solution. I used fusion's origin as the cnc machine home position and modeled the slotted table. Created user variable to represent the offsets, g54x and g54y. Next created a rigid joint with a corner of the vise and the origin. In the joint command, for the offset tab I add the XY variables, and Z is the total height of the vise to have it flat on the table. Then simply editing values in the parameter table to move the vise to the desired location.

@CADJungle Жыл бұрын
Not a problem. This was simply a video on how to create a gear without real world specifications. It was just an exercise. However, I created a video that shows you how to make actual gears for real world use. You can follow the link below to that video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4vPcp6QbM6gi7c

If you read my bio for this channel then you would know that this channel isn't about accuracy but about learning how to use the software. In addition, there is another video I posted that uses an actual plugin to make real-world gears.
@josephprows7569 Жыл бұрын
This is literally the worst way to model a gear, and a terrible way to present even that. There is no description of how he is arriving at the random numbers he is instructing us to type in for the design of the teeth of the gear. You could not use this tutorial to make any other gear than the exact one he is demonstrating. There are SO many other, better, quicker, more universal methods to make a gear than what is being demonstrated here (for example. GR gear generator add-on). This technique is perhaps useful to learn how to draw a design around a circle, but certainly not to make gears. Gear design needs to include terms like "module," "pinion," and "pitch angle."
@CADJungle Жыл бұрын
If you read the about section, these exercises are intended to help you become familiar with Autodesk Fusion 360 through repetition. These models are not always exact but, are measured for approximation. They may also not always be real word examples, but a guide in software use. When attempting to reproduce models for 3D printing, be sure to verify your own real world measurements for authenticity. Its also indicated in each description of every video I create.
@mattmattmattymatt Жыл бұрын
I am not quite sure how this is a tutorial. Sure, we get to watch you make sketches and extrudes, but that is about it. The reasoning required to actually make a functional part is just completely missing from this video.
@CADJungle Жыл бұрын
Point taken, but this isn't the video for that. This is about using Fusion 360 through repetition.The functionality depends on the person creating it. If you also have read the disclaimer, you'd understand the purpose of this channel.
