Look so simple but when i go and try and achieve the same effect on something im working i don't know how to create the side sketch and then the proper projections im suppose to be creating

i am a machinist and i hate when i get solid models like this because the designer inevitably attaches stupid tolerances to it that are impossible to measure without using a CMM, then they wonder why there's an extra $1000 metrology charge

I think the problem is not the model but the tolerance requirement. I would guess most clients accept higher tolerance if you just contact them and tell that it would be $$$ cheaper if you can accept accuracy e.g. +/- 0.2 mm.

@@SuperAWaC So they have to pay extra. I guess it's a personal choice. I think it's still important to communicate this to the designer.
