Great walk through Tyler. As always I paused the video to ponder how I'd do it and I came up with the same as you did. It's great to get an idea that challenges design.

An easier way would have been to draw the box, she'll it, draw the triangle on the side, extrude it. Then draw step triangles on the side of the box, extrude to the triangle step profile and then pattern on path ( the small triangular extruded step). No need to cut away the excess steps as you have done.

Is there a way to do this fully parameterized? Like that when you change the number of steps that the stairs would still end at the top corner of the planter because the step height would be automatically adjusted. There's no pattern "to object" option like the extrude command has, right?
