As someone with experience with Freecad and Siemens NX I can safely say this program is just a lot smoother to work in, and the way it combines individual parts directly in an assembly instead of pairing them up afterwards is mind blowing. Thanks for the walk-through on the basics!

Downloaded fusion 360 this afternoon. I've been using 3D drawing programs since the 90s. The first one I used came with a tutorial that took me step by step through all the operations form the most basic to the more advanced. That tutorial was so well written, that by the end I was able to produce drawings suitable for the catalogue of equipment I was designing. Much later I tried learning Autocad at college. It seemed that the instruction at that time started in the middle and worked out. Most of the time I was completely lost. That class started with 16 people and finished the first semester with 6. I've been using sketchup for a while now but find it very difficult in many ways. Looks like you have produced a set of videos that will see me using fusion in the future. Congratulations! You did lose me with SVG files. I have not come across that term before and don't know what it means. Please be careful to avoid acronyms in beginners videos. Otherwise well done!

Hi, Alicia. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I used the shortcuts box. You can activate the shortcuts box with the keyboard letter "S". Once the shortcuts box is open all you have to do is type out the name for the feature you're trying to use. Then, if the feature is the top results, as "text" was in this case, you simply hit the enter key. Otherwise, you'll have to use the arrows on your keyboard, or your mouse, to select the desired feature. Cheers, Kevin :)

Man, this tutorial was excellent. I appreciate the very step by step, even where to click in the menu instruction, that's very important and I'm glad you taught it like this. Also finally a tutorial that I can actually see, most of them out there aren't zoomed in enough you can't see what they click on, thanks very much and keep up the good work!!

@@ProductDesignOnline Hi, as I said I thought it was very good. On reviewing it I note references that you have other Video's that deal with the real basics.. To me an Absolute Beginner would not even know what a sketch or body or 2D or 3D and especially extrude even mean. A cube or a ball would be absolute beginner. The Stamp actually covers some fairly advanced stuff that would not normally be somebodies first ever time (absolute beginner) they used a CAD program. Once again, an excellent video, like all your other video's, just a misleading title.

By far the best tutorial I've found so far. I've been using tinkercad and putting off learning fusion because every time I try a tutorial it becomes confusing and complicated. This is the first one I've done from start to finish with no mess ups and more importantly, no frustrations. Thanks so much!!!!

I bought an Elegoo Neptune 2S last week, woohoo I have no earthly idea on how to make 3d models , I am also a technophobe so I will do my best to follow on your lesson. I will admit some of this stuff is over my head but I am committed to showing my wife that "this is not a toy " as if my continued happiness is in the balance. Strangely enough a stamp was one of the things I wanted to make first , so win win for me as this is the first fusion 360 tutorial I have ever watched. Hopefully I will be able to design a logo and have that on my stamp , or my daughters stamp as its for her products. I can assure you that I will have your vid in one window and fusion in the other . I thankyou for your down to earth vid and methods.

Thank you SO SO much! I have been dying to learn Fusion but every other tutorial seemed like they just assumed there was some knowledge or move wayy to fast. This was nice and slow enough to follow along. Not to mention I did have a need for a custom stamp. Some things I had to google for my specific stamp but this was a great starting place and done in a very teachable manner. I found one other guy with tutorials that can be followed along to learn and I'm hoping to really be able to grasp this. Thank you thank you!

Easily one of the best tutorials I have ever watched. It seemed slow compared to the others I have seen that move at warp speed with lots of filler or back and forth. You went from point A to B smoothly and spoke in a way that I didn't feel I had to catch up to. Thanks for making it easy for a first time printer! Oh, one last point that really was important to me: You didn't include the clicking and typing audio in your video. I closed so many before I found your video bc the sound of the keys or mouse was SO LOUD it pushed me over the edge. I have a sensitivity to those sounds and you eliminated them. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Without the sound of someone beating the keyboard like it owed them money, I was able to fully focus and learn tons. Top Tier vidoe, Friend.

Thanks for this. A couple tips: 1. Covering orbit and moving around first. Hard to navigate when you don't know how to pan. 2. A fresh install has Y up as far as your planes go. I understand with 3D printing you want Z up, so may want to cover how to change this. Making your first line is confusing without this change and makes your plate stand on end.

Hi Michael. Thanks for the feedback. The default up axis has changed a handful of times the past couple of years. I always record tutorials with the default settings and at the time of recording this it was the Z up :)

Thank you for a deliberate annunciation and calculated rate of speech, that allows us time to comprehend what you are saying, as well as using familar words to clarify letters, such as charlie for "C" and delta for "D" etc. I'm an old guy that needs all of the help I can get, and it means a great deal to me at 79, to feel like I can hope to learn some new tricks. Being able to 3d model my wooden clocks I've made in BobCad, would be nearly sublime. As a former educator, I recognize and admire your natural teaching skills. For this, I am grateful. Gary

Man thank Gawd for this channel. I just got a new Ender 3 Pro and have no idea what I'm doing. I have a utube channel (for years) and create crazy magnet motors in which I have to make rotor housing and setup housings and until now, its all be done but using wood, metal or manipulating plastics and acrylic. Finally 3D printing and come down in price and I can now make these parts to my exact specs. 360 seems very daunting but your course is very helpful. Thanks a million!!

I just want to get to a level where I can efficiently over time be confident by starting out on the right foot and not jump around to different 3D tools. Thanks so much so much for the tutorial and looking forward to watching all your tuts. And yes include a 3D tutorial and how to make svg images😁✌️
