Airing from September 8th 1966 to March 19th 1971, "That Girl" ran for 5 seasons and 1 hundred 36 episodes. Starring Marlo Thomas, as Ann Marie, an aspiring actress who moves from her hometown of Brewster, New York, to make it big in New York City. Often joined by her boyfriend Donald Hollinger, played by Ted Bessell, a magazine writer. Throughout Ann's and Donald's adventures, they encounter a variety of now classic cars. Today, we'er taking a look at the cars of "That Girl". Let's begin.

The Comet stuck in the mud was very memorable - at least I remembered it when I got a big 1991 Chevy Caprice rental stuck in the mud.

That was funny man Carl Ballantine as the guy who gets "hit" by the Mustang convertible. Mostly known for being one of the wacky crew on McHale's Navy.

No right side trim or 289 badge on '66 mustang as it drives by. Then left side shows them. They must have filmed the shot AFTER they partially fixed the damage from the guy walking into the left side later and never put the trim and badge back on. OR, it's a completely different car.

Donald certainly went through a lot of cars! And doesn't look like there was much brand sponsorship for That Girl. I like the variety of automobiles.

Looks like a lot of single brand sponsorship there, since the vast majority are Ford products. The very few non-Ford products were either foreign or a bus.

The car you saw was a concept vehicle on display at an auto show. The Ferrari was the only production model featured in that clip.

That Girl is on the Catchy Comedy tv channel, according to my tv guide. They have weekend tv marathons of classic tv shows. There was a That Girl marathon last month.🙂

Another Deslu show filmed in LA and set in New York, this one filled with Fomoco convertibles owned by someone who probably wouldn't have a car if he lived in Manhattan for real.

4:19 the 1964 Ferrari 275 GTS is worth about $2.3M today. I think they only made 4 in 1964, so much easier to find the ‘65.

Donald rarely kept a car more than two episodes. He had to be driving at least 12 different cars over the 5 years. Sometimes they were on assignment out if town, but even in this video he has 4 different cars in the first season or two.

back then for a normal person like my mother that would have been almost a weeks pay, she told me when I was born in '67 she made around $1.40 & on a 40 hour week & a little overtime she made maybe $60-70 a week at a Lithonia Lighting! My 1st job in '82 I made $3.35 hr & brought home about $80 working the legal 25 hrs max for minors & my first real job after high school I made $5 hr & made about $200 a week

The Good during this era.......the cool classic cars and styles. The Bad during this era......shows like these introduced the beginning of liberalism and wokeness to TV. I can remember how they started catering to NOW and ethnic groups to the point of ridiculousness. It only got worse from here ........ even the cars.

I watched this video specifically to see if they would show that. As a kid I was really tuned into cars & I distinctly remembered the show where the car they arrived in was not the one they started out in. I didn't remember which was which but I knew it had changed. '65 & '66 were very different cars. That's Hollywood for you! 😂😂😂😂😂

4:17 - That was a Corvette, not a Corvair. I really liked the `65 Ford taxi and the bus. But all the vehicles were cool. I remember the show being on when I was a kid, but don't remember ever watching it, though maybe we did.

Incorrect. That is a Corvair Monza GT prototype. It did not reach production.

@@MillerMeteor74 It's a shame that they did not go into production with the Corvair Monza GT ... beautiful car. GM appears to have lifted styling cues from the Corvair prototype for later model (gen C3) Corvettes. Hence the confusion.
