@Asanar You can't stop the development of the instruments my friend. And nobody ABLE to kill the tradition besides people who belong to it (like you). Kill it by being jealous to others, conservative and nationalistic, or always keep it on high level by being creative, innovative and inspired. You have those 2 options and i'm sorry for you that you choose 1st one. People who go 2nd way don't even have an idea that somebody can kill thier tradition by playing their traditional instrument.

Play - engage in activity for enjoyment and recreation rather than a serious or practical purpose. Thus PLAYING an instrument, just for the fun of it. For the pleasure it brings yourself and others. You can resonate with the frequencies or not. Nadishana, you sure do have so much fun, not only playing the instrument, but playing with the construction and dynamics. And to that I say play on!

Im conservative and nationalistic in many ways yet I do not htink this hampers my creativity or love for these developments - the question is WHAT one is conserving, and for me Im trying to conserve the natural human being - in all its expressions

This is incredible. After playing the quena for a long time and just starting to play the shakuhachi (尺八) I have become obsessed with the overtone series and these overtone-based flutes. Now I realize that you can play an entire scale with just a tube that has a notch carved into one end, no holes needed. Stopping the end to switch between an open and closed-ended resonator to get 2 different overtone series an octave apart is genius, and now I will practice playing these overtone scales!

I must tell that I understand to my Slovak neighbours who are mad when they see their traditional music instrument raped by PVC and rubber hose, but I also admire and respect effort and energy, you put into pushing fujara on new level. Everything is in move and Futujara is maybe good step for preserving fujara and introducing her to broader audience.

I've Always loved the Fujara and have listened to it for many years. This is in itself an amazing sounding improvisation. Our local Music Guru was watching along with me and feels that the sound is not only beautiful, but it has an old traditional sound that makes the Fujara so original. Please keep up the wonderful work.

Yesterday someone commented and deleted his comment, but i still want to bring this important topic up: " Sep 29, 2020, 9:15 PM @Lucky And Lucky Sooo......You discovered our instrument. And you liked it so much that you made this hybrid plastic copy of it and changed the atmosphere, tradition which it has? That much you liked the original instrument that you had to change it completely? Wow. Isn't it disrespectful? Our wooden traditional instrument which was there for centuries which was something special for those who played it and which was made with special care by people who were choosing the proper wood for it with extra care, made it, decorated it with the traditional decorations and all this process meant something more than just playing an instrument......tradition...... so all this was suddenly not good enough for you. Well, it's nice if someone likes our fujara and wants to learn how to play it but it's heartbreaking to see that our traditions are changed completely into something cheap. So please don't call it developing or progress or something like improvement.... this is not better. I would call it the deleting of the soul of fujara. Not everything has to be changed. Some things are ok the way they are. Don't be surprised that people don't react always nicely..... Money is not everything you know. No offence."

@Lucky And Lucky Long ago someone saw an oud and got inspired so he build a lute. Does he disrespect an oud? No. Was it better then oud? No. Then someone saw the lute and got inspired and build acoustic guitar. Does he disrespected the lute? No. Was it better then lute? No. Then someone got inspired by acoustic guitar and built an e-guitar. Was it better then ac.guitar? No. Does he disrespected the acoustic guitar? No. Was acoustic guitar not good enough for him? No. He just was creative and exited to make something new. Oud, Lute and Ac guitar still have their own place for different music and for different playing possibilities. Many people developed new incredible styles on those instruments and composed lots of new amazing music. It wouldn't happen if "out of respect" they wouldn't innovate with the construction of the instruments. But lots of people still playing oud and tradition of oud playing got developed so much! Those instruments doesn't compete with each other. Electric guitar does not kill acoustic guitar tradition. This is wrong understanding. They enrich each other. More instruments and playing styles we have, better for the culture and for us it is.So this is called a natural evolution, creativity and innovation, not disrespect. And you can't stop it from happening.

@weenaut uhhhh....it's an overtone instrument, it's supposed to sound like that. The harder you blow, the more the futujara resonates, resulting in a reverb-like "overblown" sound.

Who are the tools that down voted this?!? Regardless of whether or not you dig the sound (I love it), the modifications based off harmonic overtone, the design, and construction earns this an up vote (not to mention the killer playing). Brilliantly done, mate!

It's always good to check out the subject before you going to talk about it) Once again: that's not an attempt to copy fujara, make any substitution etc. This is different instrument with different technical possibilities and it's own potential. It cannot be better or worse, it's just DIFFERENT. Try to watch this video and you understand why /watch?v=1Vv9OHA1lPw It has got all the answers.

@Asanar It is like me being from Spain and being upset at people who play electric guitars because they didn't keep the tradition! I found a great deal of information about cultures i didn't even knew they existed through Nadishana and Julia; keeping an open mind and respect is the way to make traditions persevere, not the other way around!!

You are an amazing musician, but is there an instrument you wish that you could master but can't? How about the accordion, or the glass harmonica, or the xylophone, or a keyboard instrument like the carillion or harmonium. How's your singing ability? You should try the plastic nose flute; they are lots of fun. Looking forward to more of your vids.
