I love how Cuberts way of realising the truth of science is by having a scientific revelation himself about something he previously thought to be impossible. No one proved him wrong, he had an epiphiny and altered his perpective to fit it. Which is what science is all about baby!

The original plan for Cubert was it to be part of the main crew, his role would have it been to point out all the inconsitensies, plot holes, logic errors and so on. But because this would not only have annoyed the characters but also the audience this idea got scrapped and Cubert became a much more minor character.

This show is a constant mix of super "dumb" jokes and super "intelligent" jokes. I think the reason the dumb jokes are so funny is that you _know_ the writers are funny, so you also know the dumb jokes are dumb on purpose, which is also kinda funny.
