On the topic of robots having religion, I refer you to a previous quote (and a favorite of mine): I chose to believe what I was programmed to believe! Oh, and the stock prices didn't go up and down for no reason. They were in direct correlation to the speech Fry was giving, thus giving all the more credence that pricing is shaped by image instead of substance.

Honestly, if everyone there was rich they probably wouldn't hang out together (at least, until they would inevitably run out of money, except for Amy who was already rich). Leela would travel the far reaches of space to find where she truly belongs. Bender would probably found a robot country singing club on an island. Hermes would join the board of bureaucratic bureau of bureaucracy. Zoidberg would lose it all and live in a dumpster. Amy would probably just find something else that is lazy and fun to disappoint her parents. Scruffy would probably make Planet Express 2 and make it better. Fry would then be alone. Fry has seen enough 90s TV to dimwittedly predict that future and so that's the reason he didn't want the money.
