When they show Nibbler’s shadow in Jurassic Bark, Fry’s shadow has been added to the scene as well (although Jurassic Bark aired before The Why of Fry, it was produced afterwards)

I think the brains in this episode are my favorite one off character. I know they appear in more episodes but we never see them interacting like this. "Earth you fat idiot, hurry up" is such a good line and I want to see them interacting more.

Finally the episode that explains it. If you go back to earlier episodes that show the flash back, the shadows change. The first time only being nibbler's shadow, then being both of their shadows. You can also see Nibbler's eye sticking out of the trashcan in one of the flashbacks.
