I think this episode showcases how bad the writing is in the new revival Era. Leela feels entirely out of character, and I'd never buy her trusting Zapp so easily and just going with everything he says. Also the writers just making them have sex at the end anyway and torturing fry doesn't feel very funny to me. I don't get it.
