Barack Obama delivering pizza? That was ridiculous 😂😂😂. Each interaction with Fry's family is always sweet to see

The walking one ice rhyme is a real rhyme used by people in Canada, at least according to one of the writers. I forget which.

I'm familiar with dads who have a similar mentality to Fry's and by talking down to their kids they're making themselves part of the adversity their kids have to face, on purpose. I recommend looking up the lyrics to the song "A Boy Named Sue" about a guy whose deadbeat dad named him Sue. Sue has to grow up "quick" and "mean" and constantly fight people who give him shit about his name. Sue tracks down his dad as an adult to kill him for the name & when he finally finds him, the guy says he knew he wasn't going to be around so purposely gave his son that name to make sure he'd have to grow up tough from all the bullying and harassment he'd get about it. That feels like exactly the kind of mentality Fry's dad has about making sure Fry grows up "strong" by constantly being down on him.

Inside joke about Kim Chee/Chi It's a Korean side dish but what's really funny is that it could pass as a name.

It is kind of funny that in season 1, we meet Fry's bitch of a Girlfriend say no one cared about him being missed but all his family missed him in different ways, even the heart of stone father did in his own way.

Always look forward to your reactions. Most of my favorite Futurama episodes have to do with Fry’s past.

Always loved this episode. The concept of the cold coming back to a society that's been without it is great. Then there's the great flashbacks to young Fry, not quite as good as Luck of the Fryrish but I still really like it. The final line: 'Bundle up I don't want you getting frozen' is oddly heart-warming despite it being foreshadowing of Fry's thousand year freeze.

The year is the same as the year the episode was released in so if episode was released in 2012 , Futurama year was currently 3012 :)

I don’t think the show wants to redeem his family, but I do think it’s nice to make Fry’s past a little more three dimensional.

During these seasons they tried to use his parents to make us feel emotions, but both his parents were absolute garbage and horrible to him, so no 😂
