I like that even the few times Zoidberg does something seemingly cruel or selfish, the intent and outcome is still generally better than when the other characters do something good. While most of the characters work for self-interest and personal gain, Zoidbergs actions are overwhelmingly selfless to his own detriment. A killer Robot Santa, whose standards of Niceness being too high for anyone, has Zoidberg as the only name on the Nice list, and we're constantly beaten over the head as to why.

He's content to work quietly in his lab on putting Hitlers brain in a great white shark and sorting his different lengths of wire. A character can have an erratic personality and not necessarily be "Chaotic" in alignment

Well lacking in self awareness and it’s a slight on what the Most High God of Israel hates and shellfish is one of these things since they are the bottom dwellers of the ocean and hoover up anything unclean. Hence Zoidberg and his priorities are entirely contrary to what is pleasing to God, unclean, inappropriate and anathema to Him. We are Mars, we are the red planet as we live in sin and engage in war. Zoidberg is kind of a social commentary and while his ways have comedic value, I would suggest people see the bigger picture here and in fact try to please God and repent to Jesus and not take a leaf out of Dr Zoidbergs book. For example the Dr Zoidbergs of the world consider it an honour to meet the president of their nation when actually it’s deeply unclean and gross… And so on..
