There's actually a few amazing things here: the fact "Future Breeze" wrote such a sophisticated piece of music, (I've alerted them to my love of it previously) and the fact Herr Ducktronic managed to deconstruct it. I could never figure out what was doing what... but her, I'm merely a mortal. Amazing when you load it into a 303 and slow down the tempo and play it over hip hop beats how it just creates a different kind of intensity altogether: some ppl are just so clever! I tip my hat gentlemen

This is amazing - very nicely done. One of the reasons it sounds so good and authentic I think is that it's all hardware, well apart from FX I suppose. It has "that sound". It would be interesting to hear the same done entirely ITB and do a blind test.
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Yes, I have often asked myself that too. Maybe I'll do a comparison sometime.🙂

Fantastic and inspiring as always! Can you figure out what gives the the unique sound of the 303 in Formic Acid (Kai Tracid) - Eternia? Would that be a flanger?
@DuckTronic4 ай бұрын
Thank you. I hear nothing more than distortion on the (probably) 303. I don't know if it's an effect pedal or just the input of a mixer being overdriven. Kai is sometimes active here. Maybe he'll read it and respond.

@@DuckTronic 🙏 thanks for the feedback. Don't you find it to have an unusual sense of stereo to it? Any guess of what distortion pedal might have been used?

Was für'n Hammer! Tolles Tutorial! 👏👏👏
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
Vielen Dank!
@wackerburg3 жыл бұрын

@VNDM-MUSIC3 жыл бұрын
Hey excellent work again! Which midi to DIN sync converter do you use? I used a Doepfer box back in the day, but that is now 30 years ago... I might need one for my RE-303 now.
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I use a DIY MIDI-DINsync-MIDI converter after the schematic by Colin Fraser: www.colinfraser.com/m2d/m2d.htm Unfortunately, I haven't packed it in a nice case yet, so I didn't show it in the video. 😅 But you can see the converter in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoGnY6CqjKuIpJI
@VNDM-MUSIC3 жыл бұрын
@@DuckTronic thanks! I am looking into his topic now, cause I am considering a new audio interface without midi ports. I have watched and saved your vid on syncing some time ago. Don't know how to solder , so I do not feel that confident about DIY but maybe a mate can help me out. Looks like a more budget-friendly alternative to relative expensive sync boxes.
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
@@VNDM-MUSIC Yes, the Colin Fraser Converter is very easy to build. You only have to program a PIC. I could possibly help with that.

between TB-03 & Behringer TD-3 : who is the best for you ??? thanks
@DuckTronic2 жыл бұрын
I would take the TD-3. Better feel and extremely cheap. Since I use the clones so rarely, I can't say much about the sound. But TB-3 & TB-03 sounds very digital and strange. And you can't use the terrible distortion of the TD-3 in my opinion. Unfortunately I don't know the RE-303, but it's supposed to be good. Just try out what sounds best for you.

I'm in between this mxr pedal or mooer black secret. The mooer is like half the price but is perfect rat clone for the TB. The mxr makes the TB tighter and that classic 90s acid/rave sound. What do you recommend?
@DuckTronic3 жыл бұрын
Both! With the MXR I usually get more of the sound I'm reproducing. But the Mooer is good too. They're a little different, but not better or worse.

@@DuckTronic thanks. Yes you're right one must have both. 😁

for me you were the ghost producer of all the techno / trance / progressive songs of the 90s / 2000s, it is not possible that you are able to reproduce so faithfully all the patterns of the 303, the 909, and all the rest, there is something that doesn't fit me ... but I'll find out

@@DuckTronic Yeah me too, but mainly the old (analoge) classics. I've always wanted a JD 800, altho digital, so maybe the JD 08 might interest me, but overall the Aira & boutique line are overpriced toys to me, that i would never bring on stage. & the TB03 sounds squelchy & digital especially at high resonance range.
