Great remake, the quasi midi unit is a lesser known piece of gear. One thing I noticed is that wonderful days does not seem to use the studio recording of Tony Ronald’s help. If you listen carefully, he has quite a heavy accent especially on the word “last”. In wonderful days the voice is rather clean and accent free. There is also a lot of popping on the p syllables, in the word past it’s really loud in wonderful days but there is no such case In the original. Finally, the funny sped of guitar bending sound is also not found in wonderful days. I still hear the sped up background vocals though, wonder if it’s a different take or they dubbed another singer.

Yes, the jazz guitar is a factory sound from the JV-1080, JV-2080 and probably many other Roland Romplers and keyboards from that time. 👍

Fantastic and inspiring as always! Can you figure out what gives the the unique sound of the 303 in Formic Acid (Kai Tracid) - Eternia? Would that be a flanger?

Thank you. I hear nothing more than distortion on the (probably) 303. I don't know if it's an effect pedal or just the input of a mixer being overdriven. Kai is sometimes active here. Maybe he'll read it and respond.

You’re correct. Shortly after releasing Wonderful Days they got in a conflict with the original artist over the sample. They were forced to re-record the song using a different singer. So the videoclip-version of Wonderful days is a different version than the single-version.
